Law / British Driving licence confiscation in Poland [4]

Hi Guys,

I was wondering is someone can advise me? I have just had my driving licence confiscated for me for speeding. My fault i was on a duel carriageway and wasn't paying attention to the speed limits and i was doing 100kph in a 50kph zone. The penalty for this was a 400PLN fine and my driving licence removed. The whole thing was a bit confusing as the police did not speak English and i don't speak Polish. I did however understand that they will send my licence to my home address in the UK. Can anyone tell me if this is the case or have i misunderstood? Or do i need to pick it up from police station somewhere? Also if it gets sent to my home address can anyone tell me how long this takes normally?

Thanks
Albert

delphiandomine / intannbullu34 ,

Thank you for the quick response. I have taken your advice and contacted the DVLA. They are going to send out a new licence at a cost of £20.

As driving is part of my job, I'm being moved to another job in Germany so there won't be a chance of me driving in Poland in the next 3 months.

Thanks Again

Albert
