News / Poland's PIS go back to their old ways [194]

Merged: PiS makes Poland an authoritarian state?

It doesn't, but the worst is yet to come. If you take a closer look at the PiS recent initiatives and particularly at its leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski's affairs, you'll see it clearly: there's a full-scale political cleansing well under way in Poland. As for Kaczynski, he is quite obviously getting prepared to 'welcome' back his old political foe Donald Tusk, whose term as the president of the European Council expires next May. You know the rule: all fair in love and war.

Ok, now add here those Constitutional court law changes the PiS made right after assuming power and try to give an answer to the head question once again.

News / New Nuclear Ambitions Of Belarus: cooperation with Poland in the energy deliveries to the EU countries [20]

"Belarus plans to introduce the first unit of a nuclear power plant into service in 2018. I think we could successfully cooperate in the energy supply to the European Union and the Polish side could take advantage of this power or transit it to the European Union", Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kabyakau stated at the meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Development and Finance of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki.

Thus (charter97.org/en/news/2016/10/25/228925/), Belarus hopes to sell energy of an unsafe NPP to the EU countries.

Well, here's just all you ought to know about the 'unsafe' NPP in Astravets: theguardian.com/world/2016/aug/09/belarus-under-fire-for-dangerous-errors-at-nuclear-plant

That very fact that Belarussian authorities are still counting to get Europeans involved into their nuclear energy business is amazing. Buying energy from those who puts Europe on the threshold of another manmade disaster is like shooting ourselves in the foot. Hope we are to expect a very strong response straightening it out that there is no compromise on nuclear power producing in Belarus.
