Life / Welcome to Poland ! (Stay away for your own sake) [239]

Ironside-Although Poland is a Christian country and Muslims in general should look for greener pastures somewhere else, maybe France or Netherlands.

You're at it again! Mind you, most of the foreigners here actually have no plans of staying forever. The last time i checked, people who are practical Christians here in Poland were old people or does Christianity starts at old age in this place?

It baffles me a lot when I read these anti-muslim bashing on here. I am a black muslim but I have never really encountered any problem here. People I meet on daily basis seem to be very different from what I am reading on here, or are you guys just trolls?

Ironside-Well Muslims in general are not welcome in Poland, especially after what going on in the world at the movement.

Muslims are already here, and trust me many Poles are embracing Islam day in day out, if you care to know. If you really blame what the so called muslims did on all Muslims then i'm so sorry for you. If you have some time to spare then I'll urge you to read about the radical muslims who are inflicting pain on innocent human beings. Almost all of them were not even practical muslims.

Have you crossed the borders of Poland? Somewhere Netherlands Polish men I considered to be bicycle thieves and the girls are said to be prostitutes. That is just their opinion anyway, and it doesn't in any way represent the life style of a typical Polish yet the Dutch claim to be right in tugging Poles with such misdemeanor.

Life / We the foreigners are unfairly stereotypical towards the Polish. [6]

I have been living here over a year now (i guess is an ideal time span to form an opinion about a place?). I vividly remember during my first week people, especially friends of my own race use to tell me never to go places alone. Always urging me to be extra careful when dealing with the Polish. Contrary to all the stories I have heard, none has ever happened to me.

I like going to parties alone, talking lonely walks deep in to the night, sitting in the parks alone at midnight (I have made a lot of drunk friends during this late night adventure). Isn't that which people will tell you to be wary of?

Of all the experiences people are recounting on here, seem to look like a complete farce to me. I think we ought to change our mentality towards them. Poland has never been an integrated community so we shouldn't expect them to change out of the blue. They have always been about 90 to 95% Polish in Poland.

@jose67
I am a black African and a muslim(a rare minority in Poland) who has been living here for some time now. I'm not discrediting the fact that you have had awful experiences but then, I'll only say you are just unlucky. I have never had any of these experiences though I do hear people complaining of such.....

People stare at me but I don't consider that as being offensive because I remember doing the same when I was in my country. I was always staring at white people out curiosity so I assume that people who do it to me in Poland do it without malice.
