Genealogy / Info about: Miroslaw Karpinski, married Hilda Hollyhead. He died 1955 in Blackpool [3]

My grandfather emigrated to England, date unknown, married Hilda Hollyhead, had children, and grandchildren (I'm one of them).

I'm trying to find out any info regarding his city of origin in Poland, family here or in Poland and any other details due to being estranged from my paternal side of my family due to divorce. There is little info available from family sources and the Registry Office won't share any details. I've drawn a blank on forums up to now and am unwilling at the moment to start spending money the authorities are demanding to share the details they guard from family members?!
