Travel / Baggage size limit on Trains in Poland? [16]

Listen Pam.This is a very general question you posted here about suitcases on Polish Trains. When arriving in Warsaw at Chopin Airport there are modern trains with lots of space for suitcases so there is no worry about it.So obviously you can travel on them with suitcases because you are a traveler and coming from somewhere. When traveling on long distance trains there are shelves above seats for bags and suitcases, there are no extra cost for luggage. When traveling on suburban train it is vise to make sure when buying a ticket if there is an extra cost for luggage,I know that more space taking items like for example bicycles fetch extra ticket. Also it is very important to check this kind of issues with ticket sale authorities of each railway company as there are few operating in Poland. For example: Koleje mazowieckie, InterCity, Koleje Regionalne,SKM (Szybka Kolej Miejska)Koleje Slaskie itp.

USA, Canada / Why do Americans (and Canadians) hate Polish people? [226]

Good and honest people are in every country and there is no need for judging them.If one is not known to the other, then the first should get to know him or her to see what that someone is like.

Australia / Shops in Australia selling music CDs from Poland? [3]

I guess the easiest way to purchase Polish music on CD or DVD is to shop on internet. Other option is to contact me (Jerzy) and I might help you with some Polish music on CD.I live in Sydney.

Life / What type of gift should i buy for my hosts in Poland? [22]

Has anyone indicated that a nice bunch of flowers would be ideal gift for a host woman and a nice drop of wine for the rest of the household members.Another option for tasty treat would be a box of chocolates or "Ptasie Mleczko" a product from famous Wedel in Warsaw.

Cheers

Travel / Rental car thefts high in Poland? [3]

Hi,
I guess one can buy a cheap car in Germany depending on how long you both planning to stay in Europe and then resale it or just leave it behind when your stay is finished . Renting a car is generally good option but expensive plus all the extra cost for insurance and security deposit. I simply bought a car years ago and keep it ready in Poland whenever I visit motherland.

Cheers
