Thanks for the info, I actually talked to one of the universities and they said I need nostrification. Not sure what, how to proceed so I am waiting for an answer. Out of the schools that offer maturalne courses which ones are regarded as legit around universities in Poland?

they won't apply such criteria to you, they'll just take the mathematics score from your final year

That's the thing I didn't take math in my last year. We had a choice in high school to either take it in grade 10 and grade 11 and skip the grade 12 if you did not need it, so I skipped it. I graduated with some other courses like science and biology. I basically took the minimum required math courses needed to graduate.

To Harry:

Can you tell me which school in Warsaw I should research that would allow me to take that one year to get the required prerequisites?? I don't need weekend school, but can possibly go full time as I have tons of free time, just have no idea where and what are those kind of schools called here?

Also below is a copy of the requirements from one of the schools I want to go:

Kandydat powinien:
- mieć zdaną maturę z matematyki lub informatyki lub fizyki z astronomią na poziomie rozszerzonym na co najmniej 30% (lub na ocenę min. 4 w przypadku "starej matury") albo być laureatem olimpiady z któregoś z w/w przedmiotów;

- posiadać wystarczającą znajomość języka angielskiego potwierdzoną przez świadectwo maturalne.
Przyjęcia odbywają się do wyczerpania miejsc.

Study / Canadian Pol wants to study in Warsaw Poland [9]

I am a Polish / Canadian citizen, 28 years old and have been in Poland for the past 4 months and love it here. Thinking of moving here from Canada and possibly attending a university for computer science (informatyka). The problem is that I have all my education in Canada, from kindergarten to the completion of high school. I did one year of college but dropped out and joined the army. I loved it in the army but due to injuries I was forced to leave. Unfortunately I never did matura in Poland. My problem is that in Canada I didn't take any advanced mathematics courses in high school because my goals after high school were to take computer animation in college and thought I would never need them.

Once I decided on going back to school a couple months ago my plan was to take some high school courses and exams in Canada and then fulfill the requirements for the computer science course in a Canadian university. Now that I'm in Warsaw, Poland I contacted the schools I want to attend here in Warsaw but they always mention one of the main requirements as "Matura matematyczna". I hope someone can help me and tell me how I can proceed, is there a school I can take here to get the extra "credits" or specifically "Matematyczna matura"? Is there any courses, or one on one education or possibly some other way I could achieve my goal and a way to fulfill the required prerequisites? Hope someone can help. Thanks
