I am wondering if I should buy him an ipad mini or an iphone as a means of communication when we are apart. at first time, he will need a medium to learn Polish. and is it easy for such a newcomer as him to buy a 3G microsim? and what is the best 3G microsim of a reasonable price?

by the way, what is more common currency between U.S dollar and Euro? I am going to buy one of those for him. thanks!
