Once you get pre-acceptance it means you are in. Getting acceptance is just another step. Sometimes formation of adequate group of students is a concern but if it is production management, it shouldn't be a problem. There would be many polish students opting for the course in english. My friend recently finished his studies in that faculty. Prepare yourself with documents for insurance, proof of amount in the form of document from the bank stating adequate funds to support your studies etc, Along with these documents, acceptance letter and then proof of payment of tuition fees you will apply for VISA. Wait for your acceptance letter and then book your date for a VISA interview. If you are lucky, you might get VISA on the same day of your interview.

You got pre acceptance, shortly you will get acceptance (everybody gets it, don't worry). Then you apply for VISA with all the documents which includes acceptance, insurance, your proof of income to support your stay etc. Once you get the VISA, you have to plan your travel so that you reach here to attend the Introduction Days.

Cannot agree more with DominicB, a friend of mine studied in the same course in the same university. The degree doesn't qualify well for jobs in India compared to the one from US or UK. I am pretty sure your choice for Poland is because of cheaper tuition fees as well as the cost of living compared to other European countries. If you just want a degree, you are welcome. But if you want to apply for work with that degree, it is difficult. Polish language is a must and companies here prefer your skills in the language as well your experience (Very few companies who actually look into your educational background - now again that depends). With Production Management, you will be mostly be working in shop floor/production area/technologist/quality where the interaction with the workers is a must (you cannot avoid that). My suggestion is try to learn the language well, work for few years (if you have experience, well and good) and then apply. Are you taking a loan or sponsoring on your own ?

I told it in the beginning if you refer my threads that this activity is a part of finding a job, not the whole of it. I have been talking about aspects to get a job. To be able to go into wider areas. Nothing can beat experience, but sometimes experience isnt enough for example, a design software can be learnt in a matter of few months, now the person can apply to that job as well which asks very specifically to that software. I am telling minor gaps which are causing major issues with profiles. There are numerous other factors , I am addressing a part of it. It depends from profile to profile. I am referring to students without experience, openings which require certain skills and where experience is not necessary.


You modified the thread ? . it is not easier to get jobs anywhere in europe. But the first thing which is important is to be able to apply to more companies, and companies which are asking less experience, better to have more skills

Well, the problem is people dont ask all questions at once. You are asking about skills now. I have been talking about it from my second thread of this discussion. Add skills to profile ?? any layman can understand this. If I want to improve any skill I will go about checking online , or asking some experts or asking professors in universities or joining some special courses etc. This is something we all know or rather I would say it is our headache to improve upon the requirements . . I started the thread with the point that opportunities are available in Poland, then I mentioned how difficult it is to get in Germany because of more requirements in the same profile, it is rather simpler here to get in. I also supported the fact that salaries are low in Poland, so loan is totally out of question. So still you dont get ? With the all the information one has accumulated of the difference in skills, he/she can chose to improve the skills and get a better job in germany or rather work here in low salaries in Poland. The choice is theirs. Upon all that, the individual should learn the local langauge - much important fact. Well, they can do copy and paste - they will get bulldozed during the interview, if not eventually the employer will come to know. Come on man, I expect some better replies than some use of fancy words. Try to understand the overall scenario and dont relate in bits and pieces.

No matter what the profiles are, they arent entirely different. Understand the fact that I am only interested in bridging the gap to suit the job market, if the person, no matter where he/she is from, either India or turkey or china - there is certain competence specific to that region. Havent we seen, people being deputed to Germany/some other countries in europe from China or India to learn specific skills pertaining to their job profile or to learn some new aspects of a project. They add it onto their resumes which improves their value in the job market. In some cases it is required , in some cases it is not. What's the point in coming here and not adding onto your skills ? Everybody wants growth right ? It makes sense to add skills to the profile and opt to work at a place which enables more learning than going to a place with the same skills and where learning happens in a course of time. It is well and good if the universities offer those topics which has not been learnt before and is hot in the job market. In some cases, we have to do it on our own and the first step is knowing what is required.

I meant to get in touch with people to understand the profile better, the requirements better. Take a profile for example "x" , search in german job database and search the same in Poland or czech republic. Just spend few mins on these databases and you will get the difference (I found more differences in manufacturing profiles). For example an engineer with a profile "x" works with more plaforms in germany than in hungary , or he/she should have additional skills in some "f" , which is not required in czech . something like this.

Yeah, it may be the case, works for some people. It finally boils down to one thing - "skills". It is something an employer cannot neglect and is the difference between candidates. Most people know the language, the efforts are more or less similar. Its a one time affair for foreigners becasue the place where they come from, and in europe, there are certain difference in work profiles, may not be huge but still the minor differences matter. I am not asking to send it invites but just a casual message. Not necessary to make friendship or add or something.


I agree with your sentences. I think it has been discussed a lot about in this forums about salaries in Poland. Nowadays , people are coming without loans as I got to meet a few, like working for few years back home, saving some money and then coming. It is less riskier than taking loans.If you are taking loans, forget repaying the loan, its not a tall ask but impossible.

yeah sure. when you meet people of similar profiles (it can be linkedin, facebook, twitter, wherever), IT IS NOT TO GET IN AN OPENING IN THEIR COMPANY. forget him/her, i will not give a rat's ass for it, if I was in their position. it is to understand what are the basic skills which are mandatory or looked upon. for example I come from a manufacturing background, my profile in germany asks **** load of skills than for the same profile in czech republic or poland. when you are applying to companies and it is not working out - this is the main reason, apart from mentioning in their requirement these companies expect some "additional skills" pertaining to that profile. it is mainly to understand the profile in a better way. what are the expectations from the profiles, what do they get to work on their profiles, etc.

I have clearly mentioned, you learn the local language, you are in, who ever it is. people who just speak english and have a good profile - in europe it is JUST NOT ENOUGH (there are exceptions like IT, design etc but other backgrounds like manufacturing, civil, automotive, production etc - nobody gives a ****, no matter how good you are)

Learn the local language to avail job here. Try to serach in appropriate portal sites. There are many opportunities. you need to sit and search. Use netwok sites to get in touch with people of similar profiles.

well, in the work permit form, there is a section as to why the candidate is being recruited, what qualities or skills he/she has other than a polish national. it may be skills pertaining to the candidate or language or some certificates or job related necessity. Usually when they have recruited you , it means you have certain skills for the job which is better than the polish national. I had seen in a work permit application where they menioned the candidate having german and norwegian language skills , six sigma black belt cerificate. There is no point in worrying now, you have done your part. Just sit back and wait till the process is complete. It will be alright. :D

dude, you have different salaries in the subject and in the content, what have they proposed ? 6000 or 6500 ? some of my friends working here in Poland, must say it is the ideal, neither too high nor low. I would say good offer.

i would say it is a combination of most of what you have mentioned. teaching is mostly for a group of people, there are certain groups who join other groups from other faculty having common subjects. some subjects might only have group seminars, some may have only report submission, some have written exams. i studied management, never had an oral exams barring an instance that was during the dissertations. group research projects , these can be your dissertation topic. Some subjects are graded both by presentations and written tests. so basically you will be specified at the start what you are going to face.

All places in Poland are safe as long as you mind your own business. Its only when people start going overboard in their activities that they attract others. Not only Poland but in every country there are exceptions. by exceptions I mean people who are not quite comfortable with foreigners.
