Genealogy / John Wilczewski [3]

Thank you for responding. We've established that he was born in 1863. The census takers listed from Russia/Poland. They became well established miners for the Palmer Coking Coal Mining co in Ravensdale Washington. So we are reqesting hiring dates through them that might give us clues. I'll keep digging. Thank you so much, Colleen.

Genealogy / John Wilczewski [3]

My Great Grandfather is John Wilczewski who came to the states in 1890. At some point he changed it to Wilsko and settled in the Seattle Washington area. I need clues because I cannot find accurate ship records at all. And the census takers wrote mispellings all the time. John's wife's name was Michalyma Skompka or Skorupska. Sometimes Skorupski. Some people called her Magdalena. She went by Lena. Thanks!
