Law / Tax: Living in Poland, getting income from UK [2]

Hi, I am planning on living in Poland. I intend to rent out my property in the UK and spend this income in Poland. What tax approach would be best i.e. to minimise the overall amount of tax paid?

Yes, many Euro countries gave a lot to offer as well. I plan to initially use Poland as a base- and to have regular trips to other countries. Hopefully this will prove a good way - at least for a few years- and possibly more

Many thanks for the replies 🙂 I do speak a very basic Polish so am hoping to improve on that so I can function with at least the basic necessities.

I think I will apply for a temporary residence permit after I arrive in Poland.
A couple of questions remain.
1. Which visa do I use to enter Poland - either the standard 3 month visa or a 1 year National visa. This depends on the risk that it takes more than 3 months to get a temporary residence permit.

2. I wonder if there is any Polish language proficiency requirement at all for the temporary residence permit?

Yes, I like Poland and both me and my Polish wife will live there.
I am more looking for what types of visa / permit are available and what feedback ppl have.
I think that an alternative to the National visa may be a temp Residency Permit- with the possibility to move to a perm Residency Permit after some time?

Be great to see what residency path ppl have used - and any tips 🙂

Law / Emigrating to Poland - residency options advice needed [10]

Hi,
I am planning to live in Poland when I retire soon. I plan to live there for at least three years and possibly longer. I have been visiting Poland for the occasional week for almost 30 years- so I have a reasonable understanding of the place. I also own an apartment in Poland and will have a healthy retirement income.

I am looking at the visa/passport options for UK citizens (of non Polish descent) looking for 3 year+ stay. My reading of the Pol Gov website is that I can get a 1 year visa and renew each year. It would prefer not to have to renew each year.

My question is- what are my options for visa/residency that enables me to stay for e.g. 3 or 5 years?

It would be great if I can get input from any UK citizen who has gone through this 🙂
