History / Do Polish people in general dislike Russia or Germany more? [369]

There has been no forced polnization or russification.Noone was forced to change his name or religion

Absolute Truth. my grand grand -father who died in Poland in the First world war, sent to my grand-grand mother letter in which he wrote that Russian soldiers must protect and do not touch Cultural or any other values in Poland or any other country...

single Slavic country

Forget about it. if it is so President Medvedev will give to the 20 000 Serbs opportunity to live in Russia. But he ignored their "lament" and send several trucks to Kosovo with Humanitarian aid.

Lucky Poland has limited influence in Slavic Europe and the world.

Poland will have Great influence in the world only when it begin think and do in it's own way, without western or eastern influence in minding. When it shows it's own will and desire to leave in peace and harmony.

If you think all Slavic people are not related by blood, culture or language then you are an idiot

It smells like "Main Kampf" - "Im ein gohoertsames Blut, gehoert eingemainsames Stadt" the phrase of the real Idiot. :)

Slavic unity? what do you mean? another soviet union?

Soviet Union included some Islam and non-Slavonic countries i.e. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Armenia. and so on...

He-he, after reading posts above, suppose it would be better to paraphrase the topic into: Whom are you afraid most - Russians or Germans? There is no need to answer it. But the whole historiy of relationship between Russia Germany, Poland shows that

1. Russia and Poland are much more closer than Poland and Germany (due to tradition relationship, economic basis)
2. Poland must have it's own way to move, do not glancing to Germany or to Russia.(Have your own point of view)
3. Before dislike someone try to dislike yourself :)

I'm deeply sorry for my "intrusion" to your theme concerning Slavic Unity, but to my mind, this idea will never be realized, because there are a great amount of differences between us. As you know, union is the community of the tradition, language, social views, the way of living, "equality and brotherhood" (as Mr. Lenin announced in 1918) in case that one of the item mentioned above is not in use, any Union and unity will be destroyed,by the greedy neighbours.

The vivid example of the Slavonic Unity is the Grunwald Battle 1410 a.D.when Slavonic people were united for to stop the expancy of Catholicism to the east (In my University I studied this theme in the key of "Catholicsm expansion"? and really don't know how this Battle is studied in Poland)

The vivid example of the Unity destroying is the Soviet Union. Really I don't know how western massmedia characterized this phenomena, but to my mind it was tragedy, because people had no any opportunity to visit their relatives in Ukraine or Belorussia or Lithuania, or any other former Soviet republics
