However there are specialist doctors in smaller hospitals who earn as little as 3000 zl/m (brutto).

that is a big surprise for me! i earn 2700zl to my hand welding(and i dont even speak polish) so for a doctor to earn about the same is shocking really.

Hi,
I live in a town of around 15 thousand people in Poland.Im not half Polish,I dont speak Polish yet ive never had any problems at all infact if anything id say people are more accepting here than if i was to change cities back in England.

What i would advise you to think more about is what you will do here and how much you are willing to do it for,the wages are a joke compared to what u would be used to and its not as though the cost of living is any cheaper.

Apparently there's going to be a non-geoblocked version of Iplayer sometime soon.

This summer i have read but i cant wait that long :)

Expat shield works but isn't great.

its not the fastest of connections no.do you know of something better i could try?

While it's always been possible to tunnel into the iPlayer from outside the UK via a Virtual Private Network, the average user would probably find this too much hassle to set up, and VPNs often charge a monthly fee. To solve the problem, a new free app called Expat Shield has launched this month from AnchorFree, the same stable as Hotspot Shield which offers the same service for US users.

Thats interesting, could you tell me, did these guys leave Poland and travel straight to Tiverton? how did they end up in a relatively small town?

The majority of the ones i know went straight to Tiverton but i dont have a clue how they all ended up there .at a guess id say at there is at least a thousand and in a town of 17 thousand thats quite a lot.

daisy you say you live near Tiverton could that be Taunton?

Im guessing Exeter as they do have a lot of polish drivers

Is there any friggin town where you wont see them?

no,id be very interested to know just how many do live in the UK but i somehow doubt we will ever know

about a month ago.Where do you live?

Id like to know what kind of work Tiverton has and whats so plentiful about it.

Nothing special mate but jobs none the less. i lived there for three years and know many polish people who still live there, none of which have ever struggled to find work.
