Travel / Best place to exchange money in Poland? [98]

Hi,

I'm flying to Wroclaw at the end of this month.

Can any locals list 3 or 4 "Kantor" directly in or around the Rynek where I can get the best exchange rate for Euros? I've heard that EUR 1 = 3.49-3,59 PLZ is the best exchange right now.

Thanks in advance.

Life / Smoking vs. Grilling on Balconies / High Rises in Poland [66]

What about in parks? Do lots of people grill near lakes?

BBQ-Grilling near Poland's High Rises?

I live in one of those monster old communist high rise buildings. I am right in the middle of a cluster. There is a vacant some what large field in-front and then the hi-way. Can I set up a small BBQ grill to cook a few hamburgers?

No. Unless there's a space specifically for that. Poles love to complain about perceived infractions of good behaviour by others, just for the sake of it and you will probably find that this happens.

Often there are bbq areas in parks where you can do this freely.
