Work / ftp program used in Poland? [4]

A friend of mine told me that his filezilla FTP program corrupted the Polish language characters when he downloaded from his site. He wants to buy a program that is commonly used in Poland. What program should he buy? How about Ipswitch? Does anybody have experience with this?

Are you saying then that there is no problem and that ANY FTP program will work?
