Language / The finer points of Polish grammar - 1 (podróżni) [22]

1) Wrócił przed półtora (miesiąc).
2) Wrócił przed półtora (rok).

Weird.. I'd write it: "Wrócił półtora miesiąca temu", "wrócił półtora roku temu"...

1) Wrócił przed półtora miesiącem
2) Wrócił przed półtora rokiem

History / Which nation were the biggest pussies of WWII? [120]

Only because you're stupid

The nickname you use doesn't make you any wiser either.. ;)

groups that performed badly

Explain to us, Sokrates, the IQ demon, how Italians could have "performed badly" against Germans whereas they were an official ally of the Third Reich?.. ;)

History / Which nation were the biggest pussies of WWII? [120]

Italians.
French.
Jews.

This list doesn't make much sense.. Italians were allies of nazis as well as some Frenchmen (Vichy France).. Nazis didn't really want to annihilate any of them... Jews were destined for death and they knew it very well, they had nothing to lose.. Giving up in such situation is nothing but a total evidence of being a pusssy...

They may be excused as they didnt have a country from which to form a regiment let alone an army.

But they had opportunity to join foreign armies.. Some of them did, in Poland for example, but majority of them (excluding women and children of course) chose to die as cattle - without any fight whatsoever..

Travel / Question about the Rynek and City of Wroclaw [15]

what is wroclaw missing? what would it need to bring it into the 21st century??

Changing the name of the city to Breslau and making German the second official language... ;).. ah.. i almost forgot about eth(n)ical Germans in municipal authorities, we need them too along with financial and political support of Bundesregierung....

Life / Why do majority of Polish are afraid to admit their nationality? [28]

As we all know, to have been born British is to have drawn the winning ticket in the lottery of life.

Sure thing!... Living amongst rapidly growing population of fanatical muslim goatfuuckers is a pure fun by definition...

Life / Why do majority of Polish are afraid to admit their nationality? [28]

In your opinion what is the base for behavior like this?

Totally unfounded inferiority complex typical for postcommunist societies.. However I observe very positive phenomenon: Poles seem to be more'n'more proud of their nationality nowadays... and that's good because they've got plenty of reasons to be proud of themselves..

Language / Jakoś tam będzie [4]

I guess it has a figurative sense, hasn't it?

Yes, it does.. It's a famous Polish "jebałpiesizm pospolity" known as a specific form of "pessimistic optimism" [sic]...

"Jakoś to będzie" is more correct, i guess... The word "tam" doesn't fit the phrase...

News / Did you know that Polish army is the weakest in Central Europe?.. [150]

Maybe we should from time to time.I mean its becoming boring to be only attacked.

Neee, such values as morality and humanism are priceless.. They can't be replaced by violence and power.. It's better to defend your country effectively than to attack, even with preemptive intentions... I love Poles for morality in international relations... But being moral cannot signify a weakness.. Witkacy used to say that only strong people can be really moral...

I dislike the IDF, simple?

You like Israel, you dislike the IDF... uhm... yeah, it's surely "simple" but i don't get it anyway...

Finkelstein, himself a Jew, showed the illegality of settlements clearly in discussing the judgement of the ICJ of 2004.

That is why i dislike Jews and... i like Israelis... Simple?...

Love / I don't know if she's married and I don't speak Polish - help me romantic folks [55]

Thanks for the expressions but you'll have to tell me what they mean, or at least how I could find out.

It's a local Polish slang understandable only for Poles... It's like a secret code.. If you use it, I can guarantee you get whatcha want or, in worst scenario, you get whatcha do not want... I think it's worth to risk anyway, 50/50 ratio is quite reasonable...

The best revenge is living a good life. And that we will do.

Shalom, chaver.. First of all, take a huge load of shiit on these anti-israeli morons.. They are not worth your energy.. Israel became a world-wide scapegoat just because you dare to live in your way and preserve your national interest... Bashing you became trendy... It aches them hard, oh my, how much it hurts them, don't even try to imagine!... No wonder they hate you, they became zluts of islam quite long ago: France, Germany, UK, that's a fuuckin' shariat-in-crowd today..

If somebody asked me about antizionism, i'd say only few words: "postcommies and leftists", "muslims", "red and ultraorthodox jews", "neonazis".. Whether you add "few polish idiots" to the bunch is completely up to you...

Love / I don't know if she's married and I don't speak Polish - help me romantic folks [55]

First off, I don't know if she's already married, (she doesn't wear a wedding ring). Is this normal in Poland?

It doesn't mean a thing.. If you are determined enough, you can have a woman wearing wedding-ring as well..

Second, I don't speak any Polish and she only speaks a little English so how would I ask her?

If you want to impress Polish lady, don't use Polish language in her presence, you'd better play a role of rich foreigner... But if you really must do it, choose one of these options:

1) Chcesz się bzykać? (khtzesh s-ye bsikatz?)
2) Twoje krągłe kształty doprowadzają mnie do ekstazy (I am too lazy to transliterate it)
3) Ile bierzesz za szybki numerek? (eele b-ye-zesh sa sheebkee noo-merek)

News / Did you know that Polish army is the weakest in Central Europe?.. [150]

Don't believe in pacts and friendships because you are Polish?

Every pact is over in the face of war, especially when it comes to Poland that means little for the Western World.. Nobody would help us if we were attacked by Russia or one of its satelite-countries... Accept the sad truth, the sooner, the better.. The NATO membership should be just an addition to strong army and (possibly) a nuclear weapon...

Nato is a mutual defence, pact you know?

I am Polish, I don't believe in "pacts" and "friendships"... We were f**ed up by our so called "friends" so many times, that it would be a sign of a total stupidity to still naively believe that someone could protect us from our potential and/or real enemies... Nobody will die for Poles except from themselves...

so I suggest that Poland arm itself to the teeth.

We are hellishly armed already, jewphilanderer Torq says so.... No need to worry at all, no enemy is able to crush us... We should peacefully and humbly cultivate "jewish contribution" to our culture and passively wait for better times..

These people care about our future:
