UK, Ireland / Polish community in Northampton (any success stories / bad experiences?) [20]

Hello i am not Polish but my b/f is 100% Polish. I am British. I cant speak for him, however I feel he has settled into this community very very well. He speaks perfect English with a tiny accent. We go to all types of Resturants. I know for sure, what he misses the most is his family back in Polish.

Regards

Food / What's the name of these (they look like large fish fingers) [6]

They look like large fish fingers. i think its breadcrumbs on the outside and they had cabbage and mushroom inside and you fry them?

Also had a beetroot tasting hot drink .it was from a packet and you add hot water to make it.

anyone know what these are called?

I was told... but my memory is abit hazy
