Law / Millennium Bank Complaint (their entire functional website is in Polish!) [15]

The thing is that once I log on with my Millekod, I couldn't find a link for English. There is before I log in but then I get nothing. I looked everywhere and I'm VERY computer literate and capable. Yes, I was feeling a bit like an idiot but after I clicked on everything available I found a 'profile' page where I could finally choose English. It's just not exactly intuitive considering that I log in from English.

Thanks for your help.

Law / Millennium Bank Complaint (their entire functional website is in Polish!) [15]

I really, really want to like Millennium Bank but they are making it so hard! They have this beautiful website in English and it looked like a good choice for an online bank. But noooooo... Once you sign up, the entire functional website is in Polish!!! I can't understand hardly anything and it is so difficult to use Google translate to figure it out! I'm trying hard to learn Polish but I really, really, really thought this would be one place I wouldn't have to struggle so much. AS IF.

Law / Signing a contract from Poland Telecommunication (TP) I didn't understand [20]

I'm so dumb... a courier showed up with a contract "aneks" for me to sign from TP. He assured me in my broken English that it didn't change my current contract but only gave me a special rate. Now I know I renewed my contract starting October 1, which is definitely what I did not want. I'm frustrated at myself for reacting that way and feeling like I had to sign right then and there because of the courier and I'm made at TP for putting me in that position. Now I have so much more empathy for all the Spanish speakers in the States.

Now I am left wondering if I have any legal recourse or way to get out of this contract. Thoughts?

Law / Opening a Polish Bank Account by a foreigner in Poland. Recommendations. [299]

Thread attached on merging:
mBank... Is there a good bank for expats?

Why does mBank have this fabulous website in English and yet they have no one who speaks English at the phone number they say to call. I've been hung up on twice now trying to get someone and I don't understand. I thought they would be the right bank for us (as expats) and now I'm rethinking whether I should even bother.

Language / Bookstore in Warsaw - Polish in 4 weeks LEVEL 2 [19]

Use Rosetta Stone....trust me works like a charm.

I have to second this recommendation. It is fabulous. I've been able to wow a lot of Poles with what I learned with Rosetta Stone. It won't get you the nitty-gritty of the case grammar but it will get you quite far.

Law / What are the bike laws in Poland? [30]

The other day, in Wilanow, I noticed a policeman giving a written ticket to two bicycle riders. They were on a sidewalk (not sure where they were riding when stopped) on Wiertnica, which is a large/fast road. Does anyone know the bike laws in Poland/Warsaw? Any clue what they might have been writing the ticket for?

Food / Organic Produce in Polish malls? [7]

Is there anywhere to get organic produce besides the Organic Farma Zdrowia stores in the malls? Are there any vendors in the markets?
