Life / Do expats living in Poland speak Polish? [233]

nobody outside Poland speaks Polish. years and years of studying to finally, [i]maybe[i], learn a language that is essentially useless.

you are very wrong. there are people who have polish family roots all over he world.
only in France there are more than 1 million people of Polish descent. it's like one small country, eg.Estonia.
not to mention Usa- more than 10 million people. Polish people are everywhere and the language may soon turn out to be more and more vital for business, wait until Poland's economy gets better.

mate come on over, live here for a bit and then we'll talk.

i believe people sometimes treat you like you deserve. if someone is rude to you you can ask yourself why? maybe you were towards them too?

because people tend to react with the same behaviour as you show towards them.

yes i'm coming soon and i always try to have positive attitude towards people because it makes life and relations with people easier.i don;t like misarable people who always complain about everything.i could say many bad things about people from the uk but i don't want to. i prefer to remember the best moments and people.

it seems you try to see the worst sides of people.
maybe it's just the matter of your attitude in life.

i agree with Magdalena... we could start a thread like this about every country but for what? why hate? if you hate- leave.i wouldn't live in a place i hate...

every country has something irritating. many people claim the French are arrogant. i disagree with it because i know many who aren't. and i disagree with majority of the points mentioned by people here about Poles because the Poles i know are alright even if they aren't perfect.

are you all so perfect? if you aren't dont judge the others...especially whole nation.

it's not true French women don't shave their armpits..it's just a stupid myth. they do it at least once a month!

:) i 'm new here but i 've noticed people love to generalize here so much.

i work with very many foreigners from almost all europe and a few other countries.people are very similar everywhere

saying that you hate Poland because you have met some dishonest girl, rude people , some hooligans, because someone swears,complains... it's typical for people all over the world..also in your own countries.i bet Poland is nothing different.and my country too.

i've met ****** dishonest rude girls in the uk but i wouldn't say i hate the uk for this reason.
i've seen Polish, British, American ,French etc. who can't dress well...is it a reason to hate the whole country? THIS IS RIDICULOUS.

you must be more open to the world and other people because i think complaining in this forum about Poland and people in general is more frequent than the world's average.

but what's your problem? if you love her why don't you propose to her? for girls it's a sign you take the relationship seriously.you don't have to get married yet. i have a friend who's been engaged for 3 years now and still doesn't know the wedding date. if you are not ready yet, don't intend to ever get married or maybe you are with her just for sex, be honest and tell her.

it's pointless to get married if you feel it's not that girl yet

so the French - centre of the world, the best place on earth, the best food, clothes,WINE, cities and nature...but that's obvious:)

Polish - VODKA, cold, Walesa, pretty women ..and of course all polish men are plumbers:)

Belgians- let's not comment on these

Germans- good cars, good beer, not very pretty women and food

England- horrible food & language, good at football

i never heard of Copernic being German.and in France Chopin is considered Polish (you can check it in French wikipedia) but on the other hand we think of Marie Curie as a French (although she's obviously is Polish as well)
