Law / Can I come to Poland with my girlfriend on the student visa as a dependent? [40]

It is advice. And through reading this thread, I never read "if you were white and educated it would be different". In fact, there was only one comment, which was not directly saying that, but merely saying the view points of a lot of people who live in Poland...Whether it's right or wrong, they are view points people hold, and unfortunately, you will never change this of anyone, and therefore it will be harder for him if people think like this. Never was it said directly "if he is white, he will be ok".

People are all saying the same thing here, if you have no money, can't even speak English properly, how do you even expect to learn Polish correctly?

People are merely pointing out the bare facts....

cms..Also when you stepped off the plane, I am assuming your English was fluent, to enable you to learn Polish correctly? If you have the command for English, then you would be able to learn Polish from an English teacher for example. However, not having a proper command for English, kind of hinders you in learning Polish by an English speaking teacher for example? - Not sure of many people who are fluent in the Indian language, to enable correct learning of Polish in Poland?

UK, Ireland / British or polish Passport ' Advice feedback [47]

'seen an read more than enough to educate myself about food production an demand for a product .

It is down to the parent what you feed your child. Feed them well from the outset and teach them from the "good and bad" and they will eat good food. If you are going to be such a good parent, I am sure you can manage how to teach this fact whether you are in England, Poland, or at the back end of this earth!!

unlike certain countries, Britain has no time limit on the claiming of British citizenship.

You wouldn't happen to know by chance, how long a child has in order to claim an American Passport??

UK, Ireland / Help for Poles based in Uk who want to go bankrupt [18]

If a foreign national goes bankrupt they should be kicked out of the UK on their way back from the bankruptcy hearing.

That's what I said. They should do it once, and then that's it, a ban on coming here.

Food / I've never cooked or eaten any polish dish before. [24]

lol, I actually didn't mean for there to be an Innuendo, but well spotted, even I didn't notice that, and I am pretty good at them usually!

Kielbasa, yes...That one is my favourite, now I see the name written down!

Also, don't know how true it is, but my friend who has polish parents but live here in the UK, says that Polish cheese cake is to die for?? - Anyone vouch for that, never tried it personally.

Pierogi is lovely and so simple!! I also like frying them with onions...Simply delicious!! Also, all the various types of Polish sausages are awesome (don't know their names, i let my Polish boyfriend direct me)! However, they are all equally as nice.

attending at court to see the judge

More like a registrar in a small room...Hardly a big trial is it?! Besides...Anyone with half a brain cell can manage to go to the court on their own, all they do is ask a few questions, then stamp the papers making you bankrupt.

It is exceptional value for money.

Don't forget the £500 give or take it is, to actually make yourself bankrupt....

it is what 120,000 UK citizens will do this year.

Yeah UK Citizens...We don't need any more thank you very much. Go bankrupt in your own country. Instead of using our resources, our money to get you there.

Are you possibly suggesting, let Poles rack up a nice hefty bill, then let them wipe the whole lot through bankruptcy, because they have no assets?! Letting us as taxpayers foot the bill of the fact that loads of debt won't be paid, because lets face it, unless you have a pretty big house, and lots of nice cars for bankruptcy, you ain't gonna get alot back to creditors.

UK, Ireland / Let's discuss Polish and British, only constructive (though we will digress) [60]

Hopefully this will satisfy you, so in summary they are more law abiding than the natives, harder working than the natives, do not claim as much benefit as the natives and according to this more intelligent than the natives, those with the thick accents anyhow. SO ALL YOU TEACHERS OUT THERE TAKE NOTE!

What about all the scumbags here then??

I Couldn't give 2 sh*ts what you are matey boy, I have earned what I have, I am qualified in what I am,,,,and you are the one wanting "to talk some more", and saying we are uneducated, so therefore, why bring an argument on yourself, if you can't back it up correctly apart from your sarcastic comment above??

Love / My boyfriend is on a Polish dating site [158]

Last night he told me he was working away and there was no network

Unfortunately...That's all I need to hear, he definitely cannot be trusted..Was he really working away???

a car which he just got last week. He couldnt get a loan

If you can show the loan money going towards a car in his name, then you have some recourse there for sure...
