Love / Polish women are the most beautiful in the world! [1718]

DO you really go to the grocery store in your pjs?

Yes, I really do run out in p.j.'s! I find it funny, and I enjoy snubbing convention. I am not excessively concerned about other people's opinions of me. Anyway there are so many other sloppy women in my neighborhood that my own sloppiness goes unnoticed. At least I don't go paddling around in my slippers, like some of them. As well, lots of pajamas look like regular clothes these days. When there's a man in my life, however, I spend hours getting all dolled up! ("Dolled up" : -idiom meaning stylishly dressed with lots of makeup, fancy hairdo, etc.) And I spend a small fortune on clothes. Rather inconsistent! But my mind is really on artistic and intellectual pursuits, and getting dolled up is time-consuming and boring for me.

Regarding Sex and the City: Yes, there are lots of well-dressed women in Manhattan. Around here, too: long red nails, low-cut blouses, tight jeans...the whole nine yards, to use another popular idiom. Unfortunately, the fat around the middle of so many of these women ruins their look. The diet around here is known as SAD, meaning "Standard American Diet." And it IS sad--it makes so many people fat and diabetic.

I got a craving for chips, got to run to the supermarket! Ok, I'll throw on a coat!

lazy women in the US dressing like slobs

Must say there's some truth to that! I run out of the house in my pajamas to mail a letter, go to the local grocery store, etc. Too busy with other things. Lots of women in my neighborhood the same, walking down the street in their slippers and p.j.'s! Lazy, perhaps...just no one around to dress up for! I noticed in Slovakia and Quebec how very neatly and stylishly dressed the women are...compared to here!
