HA! oh my... too funny! (memories of the chicken dance coming back)

I live in Ormond, down in the south-east (near caufield) so anything north, south or east is fine with me. the west is a no-go zone for me, but if i have to make a trip out there i will.

i think the closest polish club for me would be rowville, so i might drop in for a meal and say g'day.

this is mainly for my wife as she has only been in oz just over a year now so im looking at taking her to some polish events and to meet some other polish folk. we are off to poland in 2 weeks but i think dziupla is holding a disco late september so we will be up for that.

thanks for the info. much appreciated. might see you on the dance floor busting those 'chicken dance' moves like the good ol days

King Sobieski

so are these dziupla dances the most common (and only) way of catching up with poles in the Melbourne area's?

How many younger people attend these dances compared to the older groups? My parents used to attend some organised polish functions similar to the dziupla ones I believe but I never attended as I thought they were only for the older generation.

News / What's the stupidest question asked about Poland? [414]

My wife was asked the other day where she was from. She said 'Poland' very clearly.

The girl looked at her and says "ooohhh yeah i know where that is! You speak french there right?"

one word: FAIL!
