Work / Back from the UK and working in Poland [23]

You need to make sure that your future employer is honest about the 700 euro because I think it's a bit higher than what you would expect from restaurant jobs, therefor make sure that he won't change his mind ones you're there in Poland cos you will find yourself stuck, specially if there is no contract

Law / Info for visa for Bangladesh people wanting to move to Poland [6]

I think that you became judgmental prematurely EdWilczynski, maybe the man needs to come to Poland with his wife for different reason than you think, maybe for medical reason or to visit a friend etc, I think we should show some kind of hospitality, not hostility first, and we can ask the man kindly for the reason of the visit so we can provide the advice.

Study / Bachelors in Civil / Mechanical Engineering Degree in Poland [39]

I am about to finish my master from Polytechnika Warszawska they rank it number one, but to be honest; I had my bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from Egypt, and I think that it's equivalent to masters degree in Poland.

Work / Moving to Poland: is 100 000 PLN good for a start? [12]

Hi Sting658
Where are you moving to Poland from? I don't want to be disappointing, but if you moving from The UK or the US, I would like to tell you that it’s completely different here in Poland, I moved here with my wife two years ago (believe me; this is a repeated story, we all follow our women to keep them quiet). Tell you what, I came with much more money than 100,000 PLN, at the beginning it was all fun and exotic and happy just as if I was in a vacation, but then you discover that vacation is over and you have to provide for your family, but guess what, without Polish all you can do is “Teach English”, how about if you are not the guy who can teach then you are screwed “SORRY I MEAN I AM SCREWED” and the idea of opening a business, well your wife has to be with all the time “this is the country of unbelievable bureaucracy”. If you are into teaching then you can be Ok but they will ask you for experience or some sort certificate, unless you are not going to live in a major city, your chances in smaller cities are actually better and you can make more money. Before you decide to just move here I advice if you can to come here for an extended vacation and see for yourself, also you need to know you’re your wife’s prospective for your life together here in Poland, and whether she is going to look for work, because one normal income here is not enough. Finally when your are here I advice not to put all your assets down right away, rather wait to see if you like it here or you want to run away. PEACE

Law / Australian in Warsaw married a Pole - Polish permanent resident permit advice [6]

Hi SharpMan
well I went through this interview and its nothing to be scared of as long as your marriage is real and you live with your wife then you need not to prepare anything they will seem tough as if its an interrogation but honestly I found it funny because because I had nothing to fear anyway if you don't speak polish then you have to have an interpreter in my case we used a friend of my wife who speaks English well, they will interview you first they will ask you about your family your previous life in Australia and then about your wife and particularly how you met her and about if she has any special features in her body and then they will interview her and see if your story matches hers,

Even that I just told you some details I really find unnecessary as long as you really married to that person and you know her.

Best Luck

USA, Canada / To move back to Poland from the USA or not to move back....that is the question [119]

Hi RysiekK
After having made harder decision than yours and moved to Poland 2 years ago with less money than what you have my answer to your question is simple JUST DO IT MAN Poland is a beautiful place to be and you won’t have a problem to live with $1500 and 300,000PLN for a starter. You know what is the worst that can happen “Nothing” absolutely nothing can happen everyone can survive the harshest conditions of life people come from Africa to Europe by boats and if they land safely they just go on with life so what are you afraid of do you know what is worse than coming to Poland ; it’s being 65 years old in the USA and remembering that you missed all the adventure and excitement that you could have had if took the plunge and came to Europe. I did just that and I don't regret it.

Work / What jobs pay 10,000 zlotych per month? and Where can i find one? :o) [101]

This thread is really interesting and I felt intrigued to tell my story I think it fit very much this thread will I moved to the US(from some country not important to mention) after graduating with a degree in engineering I worked hard and I liked the US I succeeded in my work greatly (only financially) but I was never satisfied because it was never what I like to do but I had no chance to change it I met a girl from Poland who was studying in the US we loved each other and got married her grandmother got sick she had to go back and visit I went with here I fell in love immediately with the country I told my wife how I feel about Poland and that I want to be here I gave it all up there(I mean the US)and you have no Idea how good it felt that you have total control over oneself greed and love for money I had it all as some people could say I mean the American dream I used to work my a** off there and if you talking about 10,000 Zl How about giving up over 40,000 Zl a month I did just that

Now I am here in Poland working as teacher and doing my masters degree and that’s just what I wanted to do when I came to the US
