Love / Woman 23, man 47 years old. What do you think about ? [162]

relationship between a women 23 years old and a man 47 years old

i mean live as bf and gf?

There's nothing wrong with it. Both are adults and if they love each other then good luck to them.

I think it's great. I'm 45 and my girlfriend is 25. Things are fine between us and marriage may be in the horizon.

Good luck to you also. Age doesn't matter at all.

Love / They seem nice, but could Polish girls be "gold diggers"? [196]

I think in your case mate you were just unlucky

I think you're right. The OP is probably a very genuine person who thought he was helping his girlfriend out by getting her through college etc. It's a pity Apul that you had to pick this one girl who didn't appreciate it but you wouldn't have known that at the time.

Look to the future now and as tornado says, learn from your mistakes. Don't give everything to the next girl, if she genuinely likes you, she'll stick with you even if you give her very little.

Good luck. :)

Love / POLISH WOMEN ARE PROMISCUOUS? DISCUSS. [153]

Which is what I can't understand. I mean, what exactly is the huge difference between someone who got married five times or someone who has slept with five persons that he or she liked?

There is no difference. I wasn't saying that there is. I simply meant that whether a person has 1 sexual partner or has 50 it's their personal thing and they should keep it private to themselves.

Personally I find it degrading to listen to other females talk about how many sexual partners they've had. Sex, whether it's done with one partner or a different one each night is a private and personal thing so it should be kept to oneself.

Love / POLISH WOMEN ARE PROMISCUOUS? DISCUSS. [153]

(unless they bring infections into bed).

That's a big part of it. If people are sleeping with multiple partners then they should be making sure that they're safe too.

Whether women sleep with multiple partners or not is their business, some people "enjoy" it that way. However, I do think that when they broadcast it all the time that's when people start to dis-respect them as a person and the word "slut" starts to get used.

News / What's the stupidest question asked about Poland? [414]

Why are you being asked questions about Poland? This is bloody hilarious.

About Polish cooking? How much do YOU know?

You have to be Polish to know something about Poland now?

Apparently, or you can be Polish and not offer anything constructive about Poland at all....Ms Wysp.

OK, obviously PolskaDoll has a lot of knowledge about my country and so you do.

If you have more knowledge then you don't show it. I see today a bad translation from you, insults and anger. So sometimes it seems that relying more on the opinion of someone who researches the country rather than has chip on shoulder about it is more than reliable.

Life / "Londynczycy" - new Polish soap [62]

it is a little like a fictional show but still is a good one to watch!!!!! All enjoy!!!!!!!!

Of course it's a fictional show, it's a soap opera, not a documentary. ;) I sometimes watch it. It's entertaining...

Work / Salary expectations in Poland [373]

Well, in order for anyone to advise you of what would be a good salary, you'll have to tell us what the job is! ;) Have you read through this thread? There may be some more information there or within the Work and Study forum. :)

USA, Canada / National City Bank complaint. Polish-client experience. [20]

i love huntington bank

Are they available outside of the USA?

hello

I'm sorry for your banking experience. It's not any better elsewhere in the world, believe me.

In the UK I got a bank account with Lloyds some years ago. They took over TSB so it became Lloyds TSB. I can cope with that. The Halifax and Bank of Scotland merged to become HBOS a few years ago, fine. Now Lloyds TSB takes over HBOS and in Scotland (where I am now) the bank will become known Bank of Scotland. So now I will be Bank of Scotland customer. But hang on, I am a Lloyds customer, I never was a Bank of Scotland customer before so how am I suddenly now? I already contacted another bank about moving my account.

Advice: Take everything out your bank and put it under your floorboards.

Language / "Poles" or "Polish people" - which is better to use? [199]

"Polak" is the word most Poles find offensive. I don't think "Pole" is a problem at all. You can avoid using it though if you're worried. Rather than say "He is a Pole" you can say "he is Polish". Then again, where does is end? Should we say "Guest is a Scot" or "Guest is Scottish"? Which offends the least? I think they're both equal just as I think "Pole" and "Polish" are equal. "Polak" and "Jock" are seen as derogatory.

(I'm saying Scot/Scottish Guest because you wrote "Scotland" so was assuming you are from there. :)

Food / Types of CHEESE in Poland [150]

[Moved from]: Are there any Polish dishes that use a cheese sauce?

I like to cook Polish food (when I get the chance) and I like to cook using a cheese sauce. Are there any Polish recipes that would allow me to combine the two?

:)

UK, Ireland / What do you hate about England and English people? [142]

Greetings from Austria!!!

Is Austria a suburb of London now?

1.They eat to MUCH!

Not really but perhaps what they are eating is not too healthy for them. Some of them anyway, I know plenty of people who eat healthily.

7.They are riding the car at left side! (WTF?!)

You hate a country because of the side of the road they drive on?

Been at the alchopops?

Love / Polish Women Versus Your Local Women ? [289]

No, Patrycja19 is someone who thinks out her replies, not someone who just drops in after they've had too much in the pub.

UK, Ireland / A collection of noimmigration's threads or "STAY AWAY from BRITAIN" [978]

There Misty, was I right or, in the words of the French baker, a meringue? Am a wrang? (Am I wrong?)

Well, noimmi had to go and spoil it. I meant for once he hadn't immediately blamed Polish people for this.

So, as the greengrocer said lettuce leaf it at that! :)

Feedback / The image of Poland according to PolishForums [90]

It depends what you might call the "real" image. If you say that people don't get any vision of Poland at all then the site might as well close down. There are many threads regarding Real Life in Poland whether it's about Real Estate questions or driving in Poland there are hints of Real Poland all over the site. There are many threads (and posts) here which give a good round view of daily life in Poland.
