Love / They seem nice, but could Polish girls be "gold diggers"? [196]

I think in your case mate you were just unlucky

I think you're right. The OP is probably a very genuine person who thought he was helping his girlfriend out by getting her through college etc. It's a pity Apul that you had to pick this one girl who didn't appreciate it but you wouldn't have known that at the time.

Look to the future now and as tornado says, learn from your mistakes. Don't give everything to the next girl, if she genuinely likes you, she'll stick with you even if you give her very little.

Good luck. :)

Love / POLISH WOMEN ARE PROMISCUOUS? DISCUSS. [153]

Which is what I can't understand. I mean, what exactly is the huge difference between someone who got married five times or someone who has slept with five persons that he or she liked?

There is no difference. I wasn't saying that there is. I simply meant that whether a person has 1 sexual partner or has 50 it's their personal thing and they should keep it private to themselves.

Personally I find it degrading to listen to other females talk about how many sexual partners they've had. Sex, whether it's done with one partner or a different one each night is a private and personal thing so it should be kept to oneself.

(unless they bring infections into bed).

That's a big part of it. If people are sleeping with multiple partners then they should be making sure that they're safe too.

Whether women sleep with multiple partners or not is their business, some people "enjoy" it that way. However, I do think that when they broadcast it all the time that's when people start to dis-respect them as a person and the word "slut" starts to get used.

Language / "Poles" or "Polish people" - which is better to use? [200]

"Polak" is the word most Poles find offensive. I don't think "Pole" is a problem at all. You can avoid using it though if you're worried. Rather than say "He is a Pole" you can say "he is Polish". Then again, where does is end? Should we say "Guest is a Scot" or "Guest is Scottish"? Which offends the least? I think they're both equal just as I think "Pole" and "Polish" are equal. "Polak" and "Jock" are seen as derogatory.

(I'm saying Scot/Scottish Guest because you wrote "Scotland" so was assuming you are from there. :)

Love / Polish Women Versus Your Local Women ? [289]

No, Patrycja19 is someone who thinks out her replies, not someone who just drops in after they've had too much in the pub.
