Andrew Day, Principal, Avalon School of English, London

Andrew, I heard quite a lot of negative feedback regarding a recent training session in Warsaw, especially the use of inappropriate anecdotes.

Your new Director of Marketing might like to address that

UK, Ireland / Time to move on... I'm coming back to Poland after 4 years in the UK [29]

Aye. Well I for one am glad you have enjoyed your time in England. It is a beautiful country full of wonderful people, as you say. And a few idiots, as you also say.

Have a safe trip back to Wroclaw and settle in well back home

:)

Life / The Pole is happy when someone else cries... [75]

Aye. I haven't read the thread and maybe it's already ben said but I believe schadenfreude is taking pleasure at someone else's misfortune.

Nothing makes me laugh more than seeing someone else tread in a cow pat. Aye. There nothing funnier than that

Westerns don't understand how WWII ended

i have generally found that the degree of attention i pay to what a person is saying is directly related to how interesting what they have to say is

legion you are obviously unaware that british children dont study english, it is assumed that they are bright enough to pick it up naturally

given that most british native speakers have never studied english i think we speak it pretty well. many of us are far better speakers of english than poles, like yourself for example, who have studied it for years and still have trouble mastering it

What else could I expect from an outsider, you don't understand us and never will!

you are quite right. it does seem at times that the poles are quite incomprehensible
