Yes, people like to have their prejudices reinforced but normal people try to square the circle when their contradictions are pointed out.

At the risk of descending into cliche a unitary state will not be easy but is better than the zero sum status quo.

The story of Israel being repeatedly attacked is simply not true, Israel initiated all the wars bar the 1973 conflict and in that was rescued by the US to avoid the use of nuclear weapons.

Perhaps you should understand English before getting the wrong end of the stick yet again. Your support for Israeli genocide on the Palestinians is in direct contradiction to your blind support for Ukraine. If might is right why support Ukraine? Surely taking someones land is wrong in every circumstance? The only difference is the colonial attitude you don't have the ability to shake off. Its not a great claim to fame to be able to perform the Orwellian task of simultaneously holding two contradictory ideas.

A bit of consistency in your thinking would do you wonders, you should try it sometime but I think the task is beyond your extensive powers of deduction. I could go on but there is clearly no point.

Israel removed colonists and imposed a siege, not very egalitarian. Many of the refugees in Gaza have property deeds etc all verified by the UN but are banned from returning to their land and homes. Its disingenuous to blame Palestinians for this. The region has developed as it has because it has experienced continual interference by foreign powers to the detriment of the people who live there not because there is something wrong with the people. Not everywhere has to mirror Europe.

I dont see any evidence of that at all.

If Israel stops the ongoing land theft, pays compensation and allows the right of return you may have a point. Israeli policy is we stole the land, expelled people and wont let them back. In the occupied territory the policy is best described as apartheid which is only sustained through violence. They can only maintain the status quo with the active help of the US

The brief glimmer of hope at Oslo was extinguished with a terrorist bullet and a reactionary government. I cant see the US ever changing its colonial policy towards the middle east.

What future do you see for Palestinians? The so called two state solution is dead leaving a choice between a unitary state or expulsion. The US and much of Europe have clearly opted for expulsion land appropriation and annexation. Everyone else sees the hypocrisy and act accordingly

What solution do you suggest If Israel continues to block a Palestinian state and keeps the people as a reserve labour force subject to apartheid policies. What do you thing Israel's plan is cos I sure as hell dont know apart from genocide.

Its a date you chose to concentrate on and has been said many times the conflict didnt start on that date. There has been a long, slow incremental ethnic cleansing in Palestine.

Israel has the ability to take many paths I suggest that a legal one would be the correct response. The details could have been worked out with its enabler state but they both chose the expansionist path of land theft something others in the world have noted.

The current zero sum conflict is going nowhere and I personally believe that a unitary state is the only realistic stable solution. The Oslo accords were fatally undermined by Israeli supremacist and expansionist policy something they were able to do because the US is not a neutral broker.

The Israeli response is something HAMAS is delighted with.

Fine, let's examine your Putinesque thinking re Palestine and Ukraine.

Russian reclaims Ukraine because Russia has an historical claim to these lands. Russia took much of that land from Turkish people in the first place and allowed Ukrainians to administer it. Ukrainians fcuked it up but what else were they ever going to do.

What you have to remember is that Ukrainians are not a thing just like Palestinians are not a thing. They are a mixture of Russians and those polluted with Polish ideas. Peace can only come when Ukrainians accept their inferior status, after all there are loads of slavic countries they can go to. Remember if you treat ukrainians well they may be able to live just like good Russians. This may seem harsh but it's a tough neighbourhood and someone needs to be a good shepherd to the wayward flock.

You want me to explain why I think genocide is a bad thing? I recognise a "designed to fail" question so I could simply reply by asking you why you think genocide is justified in these circumstances.

What would I do from an arbitrary date in an area that has seen many heinous atrocities all with different dates? What would your response be to having your family murdered and forced from their home? What would be your response to the Sabra and Shatila massacre? Well in Ireland we say I wouldn't start from here.

The way forward is a single unitary state. As surprising as it seems, in this I am in agreement with Trumps new Israeli ambassador minus the ethnic cleansing/apartheid parts and of course the antisemitism common to nut job Christians. Whats wrong with a one state solution where all people are treated equally in law and practice? Compensation paid to those families forced from their homes and full restitution for appropriated property including all land holdings is also a must.

The creation of Israel as some kind of balm for European antisemitism has failed.

I disagree with your theory that Celtic tribes ultimately came from Slavic stock, I don't know enough about the origins of Germanic people but doubt they have Slavic roots.
