Food / Poland's Patyczki (meat-on-a-stick) [33]

We call this City Chicken. Use all pork if you don't like veal. Put cubes of meat on the stick, salt, pepper, garlic salt ,dip in beaten egg, roll in bread crumbs, brown in oil, same as breaded pork chops. put in roasting pan,cover, bake at 325 for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. or until tender.

Food / Trying to find name of polish soup (szczawiowa) [14]

I make sorrel soup almost the same way as beet soup. I grow sorrel leaves in my garden. You may be able to buy them in a Polish market.Just cut up the washed leaves dust them with a little flour and put them in boiling chicken stock, let them cook for a few minutes, add a few chopped hard boiled eggs, some sour cream at the end.
