[Moved from]: Need some advice in regards to how to obtain a Polish birth certificate

Hi,

The grandfather of my partner was born in Poland in 1919 but we do not have his birth certificate - he emigrated to Australia when he was 30 years old. i know there is a way to obtain in Poland but not sure how.

Has anyone successfully obtained one from the archives?
