Life / Are foreigners welcome in Poland? [267]
To my understanding, polish people are racist. I was born there and I know their mentality. However, it is not their fault. It is the way they were brought up. Like any other country, they are brainwashed not to like another race and are taught to like only their own kind. If you are brought up in that sort of environment you will think that it is wrong to like another color/race.
I have a lot of friends, most if not all who are from other countries/cultures/race and I enjoy having and making new international friends. To be honest, I do not have many polish friends as they judge me and think that is wrong to have friends and engage in acquaintances who are outside of your own culture. They used to look down on me. I think it is very sad not have an open mind and be able to meet people from all over the world. This planet belongs to everyone and we are sharing it and making foreigner friends is the greatest thing anyone can engage in. You get to learn so much more about another side of the world, their culture, their language, their food, traditions etc. Why not go and experience something your own culture cannot provide you with.
