Life / 3 reasons why you hate Poland. [1049]

Hmm.... tough one.

1. Anti-semitism. The level of ignorance and predjudice in Poland is horrifying.

2. All the old soviet-era buildings, gray, decaying and ugly, it sometimes feels like Im in a post-apocalyptic film.

3. Flaki, 'nuff said.

Not sure where your from, but where my family is from (mazuri), I notice alot of people using the term "Zyd", as an expression for someone who is dishonest and sly. grafiti is also pretty common around there, I can basicaly boil the "message" down to this: All jews out of poland, Poland out of the EU, God Honour Country. Often accomponying these slogans are crosses with a circle around them.

Yeah, I know there will always be some prejudice, but some of the stuff that flies in Poland... well, lets just say that if I said it here in norway then people would react.

Bzibzioh:
I like to think the word means a person of the jewish faith, or of jewish ancestry.

I've seen enough of the same slogans around to say that theres a pattern, and yeah I can read polish well enough to understand some neo-nazi grafiti.

Gaa:
I've seen racist grafiti in norway, but I have never seen any anti-polish ones.

Norway is not perfect either, there are fascist, extreme-right and neo-nazi groups here, but I was thinking about words that people use in everyday speech.
