Life / Poles are not racist [873]

I've not experienced racism in Krakow but then I've not been here long.

I'm Chinese Vietnamese brought up in London and I do get stared at in Krakow but that's normal.

If you don't look Chinese and you go to rural China, you'd get stared at and people would want to touch your hairy arms and legs (talking about men) or stroke your blond hair. You'd get treated special like a national monument. But then there are those who feel down trodden and limited in their lives and disapproves of anyone and everyone who are different.

There are Chinese who are racists and there are Chinese who are not. There are Vietnamese who are racist and others who are not. I can go on but you get the picture. To group a dozen or more people who were racist to you and believe them to be a whole nation of people, this must make your world very simple but also pretty overwhelming? Do you take pills for that? Hehe...


I agree. I get stared at in Krakow but I don't think that staring is being racist. I like the fact that we're all different. I love the variety, the differences, without that, life would be pretty dull. There's nothing wrong with being proud and identifying with your roots but that can be done without persecuting others who are not the same. Live and let live.
