Those Polish girls make more in one night working here in America as PolAm pays them for a week in Krakow for doing the same job.

They stand out from the American waitresses as they have their hair and make up done much different which makes them very attractive.
And with their cute accent it drives the husbands, boyfriends and single guys crazy fantasizing.

We have a new bunch of Polish girls working in some of the high end restaurants here in my area again this summer.
I love their accents as it makes them twice as attractive.
They know how to work it to their advantage, and it is not uncommon for them to walk out of work from serving food with $200 to $300 USD in tips for an eight-hour shift.

There is a real opportunity for Polish girls between 18 and 26 that can speak some English to make some serious money in the summer here.
Tourist season is only for June, July and August in Michigan so these girls work their tails off and go back to Poland to enjoy their efforts.

I read that in the news weeks ago.
You are just parroting old news.
How about the 11,000 American troops in Poland, the 35,000 American troops in Germany and the 10,000 American troops in the U.K. for support to Ukraine.
Add the 3/4 of a TRILLION the U.S. has donated to the European war.
The United States of America has spent $300 million on Poland's military financing.
That is just a part of the reality to Poland's Army and military defense.

That is because in your great grandmothers generation the church didn't want their flock to read the Bible so the people would stay ignorant.

It was a Control issue.
They did this so the church could control the people by instilling guilt and shame in them with superstitions.
ie: if you eat meat on Friday or miss mass on Sunday it is a mortal sin and you will burn in hell unless you go to confession and confess your sin to "father" who is no father of anybody, he is a mortal man.

Their is only one Father and that is God the Father to ask for forgiveness as that is what the Holy Bible teaches.
And that is why I left the Catholic church, same reason as Atch, I was being taught things that I could not find to be true in the Bible.

That and I am allergic to incense that the priest use to smoke the church up with.

It's hard to debate a smart person and in this case even harder to debate a dumb one.
1 John 9.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us of our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
Nowhere in the Bible does it say we must confess to a priest to be forgiven.
You can go to one of your fellow Christians and confess and ask that the Father Almighty forgives you.

I used to too and I felt empty.
These Poles need to be educated that letting the Church stand between them and God is Satan at work.
There are many alternatives in receiving God's word and worshipping than just going into a building with a man wearing a dress and you going up and down going through the motions.

A good alternating home Bible study classes with your Christian friends would be a good start in staying connected.

I know many Catholics that are clueless too, maf.
I have gone to mass, walked out of church and while going down the steps heard, "Jesus Christ was it hot today, I have to get that goddam air conditioner fixed."

So when the Bible says, "though shall not take the name of the Lord they God in vein I guess some Catholics interpret it different than I do.

And that is why Christians attend church on Sunday is to hear and learn scripture from the Bible.
Then usually once a week there is a nightly Bible study.
I attended one every week for four years without missing one.
So yeah, us Non Catholics study the Bible while you Catholics study the Catholic Canon.
And let it be known that I learned the basics of the Bible in my Catechism classes by the Nuns while attending Catholic school very well.
