Language / Game - guess Polish idioms/sayings in direct English translation - part 2 [698]

Why is that so hard for you to understand?

Because it is not an English idiom.
That is what I was explaining to F before you chimed in trying to confuse the issue with your defense to save her.
She was smart enough to let it go but unfortunately you aren't.
You're Polish aren't you ?

while the cutting edge weapons are nice, they are also expensive.

Oh I know and that is why the U.S. is tired of paying for them to protect your lazy asses while you suck off the U.S.'s hind tit for free.
You are finally realizing how much freedom costs and it is long over due.
Thank you President Trump for putting your foot down to end this milk sopping shiftless bunch.

Since we are talking about how brilliant we are and bragging about our stocks, take a look at how my top three stocks have done in the past year.

PLTR up +519%
AXON up +172%
GEV up +314%

I do admit that I have turned my portfolio over to a professional broker so these stocks were her picks for me, not mine.
Anybody want to stick their neck out with a hot stock tip besides cms who seems to be doing very well also ?

Like I told F, that is not an idoms here in America
Maybe a local saying however that is not an idioms.

That Fort Trump doesn't exist though:

I understand that and was using the Fort Trump era as when Trump deployed up to 10,000 troops to Poland for your protection.
A thank you would be enough.
I am not aware of Trump "giving" anything to Poland (for free).

I never said free, you did so you could argue.
I said that Trump gave Poland the latest technology in equipment and training that no other country was offered.
I never mentioned money
This has been happening for years.

But not with the advanced cutting edge weaponry that the United States protects and keeps for itself unless you know something I don't.
Besides Israel? lol (and probably some others)

Israel is the exception and you can thank your lucky stars for that.
And you used that word "probably" very loosely.
Here is one good example of the latest cutting edge technology that the U.S. "GAVE" Poland to protect yourselves.

So what has changed under Trump, according to you?

Fort Trump comes to mind with over 10,000 U.S. troops rotating in and out of Poland to beef up Poland's defense.
Trump has given Poland Abram tanks, F-35 fighter jets, Apache and Black Hawk helicopters, HIMAR rocket launchers and Patriot missile systems up the yang yang.
He has send people to train Polish soldiers the same way American soldiers are trained.
Trump has shared our state of the art equipment and training methods.
There is not another country in the world that gets this kind of pampering from the U.S.A. thanks to Teflon Trump.

There is likely to be volatility though due to uncertainty

That is a given.
Another example is the suffering U.K. as the UK inflation surges to 3.5% in April as household bills spiked.
Being the pay rate is so low in the U.K. it makes it tuff to make ends meet with such volatility.
Sell offs are expected just to survive.

May God help us survive Trump's and Nawrocki's rule... ;/

We felt the same way when obama was in charge for twelve years.
Say what you want but Trump helped Poland become the most powerful military in Europe.
I personally am damn proud of how far Poland has come so quickly and stand their ground.

You are right, I don't know that much about Polish politics.
Just accept the fact that you lost and don't be a sore loser like those with T.D.S. in the U.S.A.

Great to see the Conservatives be in control in Poland in such difficult times.
The people have spoken.
Maybe the Wokies will now see that they are a minority and wake up to common sense.

And London is Europe's biggest tourist destination, with slightly more annual visitors than Paris.

Only slightly and that is because the U.K. is such a tiny country compared to France so it is easy to twist that statistic.
The whole truth is that France is a much bigger tourist destination than what the U.K. is by far making them the number one destination in Europe.

Getting back on topic however, the market is holding its own with all the turmoil in the world right now.
The latest today is that Australia has uncovered one of the biggest deposits of iron ore in the world. $$$$$

I doubt if it's every been used literally....

NO, REALLY !
It is physically impossible to stand on your eye lashes literally.
The phrase is likely a metaphoric or figurative expression, potentially used to describe a situation where something is extremely small or delicate or something is impossible or absurd.
So doubt all you want to as it really makes no difference to me that your opinion is so limited.

Why have you babies been posting this filth on the market thread ?

Save your breath cms, I have brought it to both the Administrators attention in the past but they seem content to let it continue.

Bank Pekao +13%..

They all look good to me except for AAPL in my personal opinion and we know that I have been wrong before.
I think that AAPL will stagnate this summer.
We'll see.

none of your definitions are correct.

They are all correct even if you don't know it.
Actually it could have other meanings depending on the context.
For example, to fail to meet someone when you promised to.
See Love, this is why I get paid the big money.

! Want to keep this thread for the markets

I have tried several times however the uninformed about the stock market feel left out so they intentionally derail it in a fit of inferior complex because they are not included.
Anyways thank you cms for your support

And this concerns you how Barns ?
Do you have anything constructive to add to the topic of this thread ?

Strange you mentioned one.

I didn't mention it, Toro did.

If people want to relax on a beach sunning themselves, why not?

I agree, its just not something us Christians would do because we have been taught about immorality, lust and wondering eyes to entertain impure thoughts that may lead to sin.
Now for a guy like you that doesn't know any better, or should I say, chooses not to, it would be right up your alley.
It's your choice as I have mine to cover my junk while sunbathing.
We good now
