Nike is a bad example though - making those probably cost 30 dollars max, so you could add a lot to manufacturing cost. Very difficult in Poland to open a yen bank account unless you are doing physical business with Japan.

General rule - only use currencies where you have an income stream in that currency. lots of Poles learned that the hard way with swiss franc housing loans.

Anyway I know nothing about Japan other than what I learned in Warsaw's sushi bars. In times like these I will not do a lot of buying and selling - rather wait it out. I would love a democratic Russia but I just can't see a path to get there. It will remain North Nigeria until there are enough honest people to form local governments and work in bureaucracy.
