Ummm....I am not white. You can certainly dial down what ever issue you have with minorities. Crime is crime. All races have it. The same with excellence and achievement; all races have it.

Now yes; I am not real keen on soft on crime. I much prefer a merit based system. I prefer capitalism as a tool to advance Democratic Republicanism. But also abhor what corporatism has morphed into. Usually using government to plot out market dominance.

Taxes are not preferred; but they are not evil either. I like taxes to stay dusty in an entire tool box of economic implements. I want a controlled border. In fact; Asylum should only be heard virtually. From your home country or an adjacent country. There is no need at all to come to our border. Especially since over 90% of cases are denied.

I realize Poland had changing politics; but am not confident enough to make comments on them. Over here I have worked in Campaigns of mostly Republicans and some Democrats. Fact is the partisan divide works against that these days. And the hard extremes lie a lot. Frankly they extremes both hate centrism as their dogma vilifies it.

I will not vote for the raft of progressive drivel Biden has cursed the country with. But I'm not sure I'm voting for Trump either. Maybe if he picks a VP that is not Runswampy or Elise Stepsinit. Or some other hard right putz.

I am too old and dilapidated to join a Polish Foreign Legion. But I'd gladly volunteer to man an OP post so long as I can bring my rifles to snipe with. And I'll load my own ammo too.

I doubt Trump could even get it up. But it is no excuse for the metric crap ton of partisan lies both the right and left belch daily.

The bold naked truth is Trump/Biden are opposite sides of the same coin minted from puss filled baked crap. There is no moral high ground in political parties.

Food / Polish Potato Varieties [28]

My adopted UK relatives spoiled me on Maris Piper and King Edward potatoes in roasts. Very good floury potatoes. But those will not grow here. Nor do stores carry them here. Yukon Gold is the best we can do; but that is an all round potato. So not nearly as good as genuine flour types.

I heard potato bread was big in Poland. What potato is used for that? It should be a floury potato also great for roasting/baking/frying.

Well Russia has rarely shied away from arming our foes. I really do not advocate isolationism. Just realism. And the reality is; Russia is just a feed store/gas station run by the mafia and gangsters, With nuclear Weapons.

The USA aide to Ukraine mood has changed a lot. It is dwindling. This is a complex issue. A} Many folks feel we are headed into WW3. B} Many people{myself included} feel full combined arms are the only real solution; and the Biden administration is stringing Ukraine along with just enough weapons to die heroically.

Aside from that there remain a lot of problems that kill any military solution at all. A} What is the end goal. B) Why as a country is Ukraine struggling to recruit new troops. Seriously? C} What material basis of weapons material are you planning and where is it realistically coming from? D} Any ideas on how new folks are trained to be combat able? E} What tactics are you planning to use to achieve "A". F} What communications and logistics are required here? No one has answered any of those.

Oh the irony. Here in the USA from where it came; no one has Starking scion wood for sale. But it seems to grow all over Eastern European orchards....lol

Starking is one of the parents of the the hot new EU apple sold as Kizuri/Morgana.

Food / Poland origin apples and rootstock [18]

I am an American in Southern Georgia. And growing Apples are one of my passions. I've found Georgia and Poland have a lot of sandy soil in common. And appreciate most Polish P-series rootstock have big trunks and very big root systems. Which means they will probably do well here in our heat. Anyway I have P.1. P.2 and P.22 should arrive soon. And in November I should get P.14 as well. The only Polish apple variety I have comes from Poland but was apparently brought in by the Soviets as part of their command economy. Piervomaiskoie. I was wondering what people thought of this big intensely dark purple apple if anyone recalls it. I'm guessing it was not real popular. But also; please mention your favorite Apple varieties from Poland. I hope to collect ones I can find here in the USA. I'm attaching a photo of the big purple Soviet invader.

Food / Polish Potato Varieties [28]

I see Polish farmers continue to suffer a lack of EU export markets for their potato crops. And it's a natural state of affairs that those of us that live in the USA Southeast can pretty much only grow a few red potato varieties here. Plus sweet potatoes. I see a lot of information on boiling potatoes, salad potatoes and even crumbly potatoes. But little on high starch potatoes like Idaho Russet or typical UK Roasting types. What are the best Polish Potato varieties for baking, roasting and fries? The high starch powdery types.
