I will repeat again ''Turkey is secular''. Have you ever visited Turkey ?

I have and I have to admit I enjoyed it, it was a few years ago I was there - I saw no women in head scarves or looking remotely like the muslim women in the UK...Turkey is most definately a secular country. I saw men sipping raky and playing board games and women working in shops.... ;0)

But in all honestly I dont quite see where Turkey would fit in the EU...

I don't think Turks are like Greeks, Greeks mix, Turks dont, simple as that. There are some similarities in complexion (both have olive skin, but thats down to climate)and food, but I'd say I could tell a Greek from a Turk 9 out of 10, the very odd and occasional good looking Turk will pass for a Greek ;-)

And another thread with stupid generalisations, each relationship is unique, what works for one couple doesn't necessarily work for another....and just because your partner is nodding their head and smiling saying yes dear, doesnt mean that they're not off to the pub with their mates as soon as they walk out that door......some times its far easier to 'appear' submissive to get what you want ;-)

Most places in the UK will exchange, I'm really surprised that you can't do it in America..

And never never never never exchange at an airport...its the worst rate you can get! Unless you are changing £ to euro and everywhere is shite at the moment :( only a week and a half to go before Im in sunny Spain....please let the euro increase....

Also I wanted to add re: pear shapes -> Pear shaped women are actually quite healthy as when they gain weight it is in their lower body area instead of the waist. Both men and women that gain weight in the waist area are more likely to acquire health problems.

Very true, those that store it on the ass and not the stomach are less likely to have heart problems....

I thought they were a Midlands thing, but sounds like they have them up North too?

Hell yeah! you know when you're on a classy date and you get a half a larger and a bag of pork scratchin, thing is a bloke usually thinks he's on a sure thing....

I dont touch anything except Walkers Salt & Vinegar.

More of a cheese & onion person myself, but as we like to say so often wouldnt life be such a bore if we all liked the same things.

A feature that I seem to be missing when I'm back in Germany

I'm sure somewhere you'd be able to get them in Germany

I have heard that polish women are the most Beautiful in the world( especially compared to British girls). I agree with this but want to know what you think.

So how many British girls do you know, and when you say British are you including English, Welsh, NI and Scotish and every Tomasina, Doreen and Harriot that has a British pass port?

You see, your generalisation isn't really anything new and quite frankly terribly boring, I would imagine not unlike yourself, Ive been to Poland three times and have seen some very pretty girls and seen some that were ugly...same goes for the blokes.

Who's to blame for that? The Polish workers who work hard and get underpaid? Or the employers who creepily take advantage of this?

if the labour pool wasnt as extensive then there wouldnt be a problem - for instances a forklift truck driver temping could get circa. £12 per hour 4 years ago, now he can get £7 per our - yet inflation has risen...you work it out

Nope, merely stating facts...WB is undoubtedly the most annoying member on this forum who speaks through his a$$

I have spoken to many Germans and the foundations for WWII are still there to this day.

I have noticed that many polish males around the mid 20's onwards seemingly lose their hair on their heads and dont have any at all???

You know what T, I have noticed that - maybe they are all destined to be baldies :)
