We know exactly where the Germans went. Fact is, USSR stole more German specialists than the US. (1600 in operation Paperclip vs 2500 in operation Osoaviakhim)

US just utilized them better, as they also had their own considerable brainpower reserves. We well into year 4 of an invasion that we were told by Russia propaganda would take " 3 weeks\months to defeat Ukraine".

Its clear what the Russian military is very good at and that includes killing civilians, targeting civilians infrastructure, cannon-fodder infantry tactics, building an effective defensive line and launching lots of missiles and drones.
