Anyone notice how its the leftists here who are basically saying Charlie Kirk asked to be killed because of his beliefs?

Who says that? Give us a quotation.

News / Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 25 [1150]

most people think it's just a piece of paper now (NATO) with no real U.S backing

The first part of your sentence is wrong - it's not just a piece of paper: after the drones incident our European NATO allies (France, Germany, the Netherlands, Britain, Czechia) offered us substantial help.

The second part of your sentence is closer to the truth: the USA, having the largest NATO army, and having 80,000 soldiers and all sorts of equipment in Europe, offered us nothing.

So, it is now blatantly obvious - we can count on the EU and we can count on European NATO; on the USA - not so much.

Used in warfare

That's for military. Used in every country in the world and subject to specific laws.

hunting

That's for hunters. Used in every country in the world and subject to specific laws.

sports

That's for sportsmen. Used in every country in the world and subject to specific laws.

However, not every country gives free access to lethal firearms to the general population (and they are right not to do so!). Because, unlike in case of most military personel, hunters and sportsmen, the general population consists in much larger measure of psychopaths, violent maniacs and retards. Giving such people free access to guns produces school shootings and murdering people while they give public speeches.

And my argument still stands: you can't compare cars to guns, as the former are not designed specifically to kill, the latter very much are.

you have surrendered to the «terror of guns»

What? I own hunting guns myself. But I had to meet certain conditions to obtain them and I'm mentally healthy and stable enough to have them. I certainly wouldn't want everyone I see in the streets everyday to have access to such weapons.

News / Polish-Russian war? Drones entering Polish airspace. [252]

More military logistics, larger production of small arms and ammunition for small arms, production of large scale land, air and naval drones.

Indeed.

And let's not forget using our own TNT to produce artillery shells instead of selling most of it to Americans at cost price.

a large enough deterrent

The only "large enough deterrent" are nuclear weapons. Luckily, we are on the best way to obtaining them, but shhhhh... it is not the best place to talk about it.

Are cars banned for that reason?

Your argument is flawed, Grunni.

Cars are not designed with the sole and specific purpose of killing people. Guns are.
Car accidents are not cases of intentional killing. School shootings, or shooting people while they give a public speech, are.

See the difference?

Why should the US protect Poland?

Because you are still in NATO. However, the USA are a free country - you are free to leave the alliance any time you want.

The US can leave voluntarily after the first shot.

Why wait for the first shot? If you know already that you won't honour the alliance, just leave. Sounds fair, doesn't it?

Charlie Kirk

This guy said:

I think it's worth it, I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It's rational.

In other words, he argued that some number of gun-related deaths (e.g. school shootings or people being shot in public while giving a speech) are an acceptable trade-off for preserving the right to bear arms by everyone. Well, God seems to have said: "You're right, Charlie. You're right".

polish politicians suck british dick, not american

From the sentence above I gather that you would seem to be arguing that Polish politicians at the moment tend to align themselves more closely with British foreign policies than with American ones, or even are more inclined to cultivate ties with the United Kingdom than with the United States. I think your analysis is correct, Veli.

Now, what might be the reason for this inclination of Polish elites?

I think one only has to look at the conduct of the Unites States to understand...

USA 1994: Give up your nuclear weapons and you will be safe.
USA 2014: Give up the Crimea and you will be safe.
USA 2025: Give up 20% of your territory and you will be safe.
P.S. Don't forget to give us your rare minerals.

... for an ordinary person, not especially noble nor especially wicked, it is quite impossible not to throw up while looking at it.

One has to say, purely objectively, that the Brits in comparison (and God knows I'm not a big fan of the Perfidious Albion) are behaving rather decently. Hence, our choice of rather "sucking British dick than the American one" as you very poetically put it in the best tradition of belles-lettres russes. ;) Жизнь состоит из выборов, as our Russians friends and neighbours wisely say. ;)

For the duration of Zapad-25 I am wearing my Gefreiter uniform... just in case. :)

homeopathic dose of soldiers

As homeopahtic as it indeed may be, it's still 40,000 professionals. Better to have them there instead of just local units and territorial defense. Their job won't be to drive towards Moscow but to delay the advance of the enemy. That is, as you well know, the main job of professional army: die slowly enough for the country to have time to mobilize.

these 40,000 will end up in a rapid encirclement - faster than you can say "Bialowieza"

If they are encircled, they will break out at a place of their choosing - over Russian stomachs.

Jak się domyślam, masz na myśłi Eskomosów albo Aborygenów.

No wiesz, AfD osiąga coraz lepsze wyniki wyborcze w Niemczech.

USA, Canada / Censorship and violation of 1st Amendment in US [147]

Churchill asked Roosevelt why he gave that much to Stalin (...) They actually ask for so little.

The question is not whether Roosevelt gave much or medium or little. The question is why he gave what didn't belong to him?

News / Future of Polish-Ukrainian relations [669]

Supporting Ukraine`s freedom isn`t sucker`s act.

It depends how you look at it.

When it comes to acting like suckers in history, Poland has the most prizes, medals and honorary mentions.

We all know what Bartoszewski said, we all agree, but don't you just wish we had that little bit of British or American kurwiness (yes, it's a word I invented) every now and then?

A do czego ?

wnp.pl/bezpieczenstwo/polska-robi-krok-w-strone-suwerennosci-technologicznej-w-branzy-kosmicznej-jest-porozumienie,917877.html

youtube.com/watch?v=qafOahrcUyU&ab_channel=TVPWORLD

To wszystko jasno wskazuje, że jesteśmy na drodze do utworzenia nowego rodzaju sił zbrojnych - Polskich Taktycznych i Strategicznych Sił Jądrowych. To stawia nas przed problemem znalezienia odpowiednich nazw dla polskich rakiet przenoszących ładunki jądrowe. Dla rakiet taktycznych proponuję imiona pomniejszych bóstw słowiańskich: Kupała, Marzanna, Dziewanna, na pewno też Jarowit. Pociski strategiczne muszą mieć już straszniejsze nazwy, czyli tutaj poszlibyśmy w kierunku poważnych bogów: Światowid, Trygław, Swarożyc, Perun.

Jakie macie propozycje?

Feedback / Who deserves to inherit Polish Forums? [344]

There are online newspapers that have 10M visitors a month and a comment section below each article with 50-100 comments, so it's about right.

Hmm... but newspapers are by definition made for reading mostly. Discussion boards not so much - they are all about paritcipation. There's no definition here. I often start reading user comments (sometimes only them) before the actual article. I mentioned I meant online newspapers that have a section with user comments, not all of them have.

How many registered users does PF have, if it's not classified information? - the information has been available for a decade here: https://polishforums.com/index.php?action=pfmembers

Also, keep in mind that PF typically allows guest user posts which doesn't require an account. No other online community I know of allows that.

you underestimate my contribution

Never! I also noticed that you English grammar improved a lot. What have you been reading recently? I want titles, authors, publishing houses - everything. :)
