UK, Ireland / Best Digital Banks in Poland (main account is in the UK) [12]

Thanks, will look up both of those.

So I am getting paid by UK company to a UK bank account
But will be living in Poland and continue to get paid by UK company in GBP (for few months anyway)
So looking for best option to transfer from UK account to Polish one without losing to much on fees

Hi

What are the best digital banks to use in Poland where the main account is UK based. Seems to be a wide range to choose from. Revolut seems to be grown fast in Poland compared to others.

Anyone have a similar setup, main account is GBP but processing payment in Zloty when in Poland.

If you're here for more than 180 days in the year, or Poland is your 'centre of interests' (i.e. you live here) ...

I will be living full time in Poland.Would the UK company need to do anything to declare me as living in Poland so I don't pay UK Tax. Or they would need to register as a Polish company so taxes

So my current job would like to keep me on and allow me to work remotely from Poland.

Does anyone know if i can live in Poland but get paid by UK registered company as their employee(not contract) The company would not be registered in Poland. I would want to be paying tax in Poland and not UK.

Thanks, will make note on this. I deal mainly with UK & Irish companies at present and find the communication from the top always blunt and direct. I guess it's how you take it on board.

Thanks @atch

Yes will be revising the terms next week, it's a 3 month probation which I want to renegotiate to 1 if possible, they are keen for me to start ASAP so hopefully show some flexibility. The not known when we can move is the big problem as that also means not known when we can sell or flat. It's a shared ownership scheme so technically I am not allowed to rent it!

Thanks All

Tough decisions to make.
Aware of the air quality also. We would be living in Libiaz so not right in Krakow city but I've noticed it there also in Winter

The other issue i have now is to rent or sell my flat in London as right now that market is pretty much closed!
I will let you know how it goes :)

Hi All,

Many thanks for the replies.

In London right now we have no immediate family to help so we find it hard on our own especially with school due to start soon we need to make decision ASAP.

It's 14,000 Gross not net (Should have asked for more)
We have shared property here in London so once sold should have enough for deposit in Poland, but to start we would live with Grandparents for few months to save.

I know the customer service seems to differ from Ireland but to be honest in London, these sort of things are not great anyway
Polish Language... yep will be challenge but have to start somewhere!

Any other advise (Without anyone getting into Political debates) :)

Dzień dobry :)

I have been living in London for the last 21 years
My partner is Polish and we have a little girl (4)
I have just been offered a job in Krakow want to know others experience of moving to Poland, not speaking the language etc
Obviously with current Covid19 situation it will be hard to relocate immediately but I have been offered the chance to work remotely until we can.

We have somewhere to stay for a few months but will look to buy/rent after few months.

Initial Questions are:
Any Irish/English that have moved, what your experience was/is?
What is 'good' salary to get by on? I've been offered 14,000 Zloty a month
