News / Poles say a big YES to our European Union [957]

@delphiandomine, as a Scottish unionist you must feel very uneasy these days.

On one hand, you're against Scottish nationalism (or any other European nationalism) and opting for Scotland being a part of Great Britain where London makes most of the decissions for you.

On the other hand UK has left the EU, an organisation to which you seem to be subservient, and ruling Scottish National Party wants to regain independence from the UK and become a sovereign state and yet remain in the EU at the same time.

What would you choose: a Scottish nationalism within the EU or Scotland a being part of the UK yet outside of neomarxist heaven steered from the Brussels?

Decisions, decisions...

Life / What is Poland going to be like in the 2050s? [72]

@pawian, I see it as a combination of new style mixed with more traditional style like art deco/modernist Prudential building

Spain is about to introduce a universal basic income making it precursory socialist haven in the EU. Given the state of Spanish economy it is going to collapse.

Life / What is Poland going to be like in the 2050s? [72]

That's a great question.

By that time I presume the EU will be gone.

By 2050 Polish economy will be on par with France when it comes to GDP per capita but we will not have internal problems with both: islam on one side and cultural marxism on the other side.

Ukraine will be partially absorbed by Russia and young Ukrainian population would be absorbed by Polish economy which is happening already.

Large infrastructural projects, which are under construction, such as gas pipelines, highways and high speed railways connecting 3 Seas region (V4 + Balkans) would be completed cementing econo-political cooperation in Central Europe.

The biggest challenge is to reverse the demographic situation. The rest is easily solvable.

Law / The right to own guns: would you support such legislation in Poland? [2237]

there is no public will for this.

It is not a will but a status quo inherited from a communist era. Communist legacy is being disasembled piece by piece by a new generation taking place of the old one. Only someone born and raised in Poland would understand those social dynamics

And no majority here wants the low-quality gun laws

Now we've got a low quality gun laws. Thanks to organizations like ROMB org this will improve with time. Konfederacja is also in favor of a better gun laws in Poland.

Owning a gun is the right of a free man.

I am sure your idol, Korwin

I don't have any idols. I only have persons with whom I agree more than with the others. Think for yourself people. Don't be a mob, be individuals.

Chinese flu is just another disease that we'll have to live with like with common flu which is with us since the beginning of civilisation. The sooner we accept that, the better so we can stop being a panicking apocalyptic mob and go back to our normal daily activities.

I am a Polish resident and I divide my time between England and Poland. My family house is located in Poland and I've also bought my own flat in there which I'm renting out. I've got an online business in Poland and I'm paying taxes there. And did I mentioned that I've got a Polish citizenship only?

England is different in every measurable way. And also with their approach to Chinese flu

But where do you think it is in the mayor of London's intray right now ?

Oh yeah, that funny little man Sadih Khan. I haven't heard from him in a while. Where is that fine stateman, is he bunkered in his cellar?

It only means that those who are paranoid enough to think that this is "raging pandemia" will not go out to vote. That's their free choice to sit on their asses watching bad TV.

Btw. London is still pretty normal place to live in, despite some apocalyptic crowd in dust masks and latex gloves. I go out jogging and cycling on a regular basis. If I would get stopped by a police I'll tell them that I'm going shopping, which is true since I'm usually thirsty after a good jog so I can use a cold drink :-)

And I will definitely go voting in Polish embassy or consulate.

The only thing that has changed for me is that I order shopping online cause I don't fancy wasting time standing in a long line with apocalyptic crowd listening to their "wisdoms"...

JK is ordering Poles to go to elections despite the raging pandemia.

Nobody is "ordering" Poles to go to polls. The what's constitution says. Aren't you a defender of a constritution? Be more consistent.

And it is not a "raging pandemia" but the seasonal flu with a mortility rate of around 2% (3266 infected, 65 death), mostly among 70+ yo.

If we treated common flu infections, which may be also leathal especially for the elders, with the same atention that we're treating new trendy coronavirus the health system would collapse straigh away.

The reason that we don't do it is because we got used to it since flu is known to humankind since the beginning of civilization.

@delphiandomine, @pawian Smart readers can deduct my political stance and my opinions from my posts. And I don't care much for the others, I only want to reach the smart ones :-)

@pawian, you're trying so hard to queeze me in some boxes where I don't belong. I know it would be easier to confront my opinion once you conveniently frame me but I'm not going to make it any easier for you, heh

Where exactly?

Not by you, don't take it personally. But I may use it as a form of invocation to my post to discurage twisting of my words

Yes, exactly. I don`t know why you are saying it over and over again.

I'm doing it because my words are being twisted over and over again.

I've got my own brain and my own opinions. The fact that I support K.Bosak doesn't mean that I will agree with him in everything in 100% and quote uncritically everything he says. I'd leave that kind of blind cult following for POKO lemmings.

My first and foremost political option is Konfederacja.

PiS is my second option, not because I love PiS but simply because the remaining rest [POKO, PSL, SLD] is a political cesspool. So if I couldn't have Konfederacja's candidate as a president I'll vote for a lesser evil that is PiS candidate in the second round of voting.

Yes, we know it. That`s enough to include you in the list of PiS supporters.

That's a pretty interesting selection you're making there. "You're either with us, or against us". Benito Mussolini used it very often in his speeches:-) Are you a fan, @pawian?

Hey, guys, who openly support PiS and their candidate here: Spike

I support Konfederacja first and foremost. PiS is my second best option since the rest of political scene is just pitiful.

Should PiS be sued for endangering people`s health and life?

I'm not a follower of a "cult of a coronavirus" spread by media [and the masses] since to me it's just another variation of common flu with a similar mortality rate and far less worldwide spread.

And yes, of course that I'm going to vote in presidential elections.

France, which is more affected by bull...virus, votes in current elections. Macron knows what he is doing, he knows that the crisis benefits the ruling party and takes away votes from opposition.

If a "liberal, progressive" France is voting despite the virus hysteria I can see not chances of A.Duda and PiS giving up this golden opportunity to get better results in polls.

@Torq, I see no benefit of not posponing the election for the opposition. Right now we've got a government heroically fighting with bull...virus and all of that is being broadcasted in mainstream media on a daily basis. Regular citizens are happy that the government have such a tight grip on the situation and the opposition is being efectively muted.

And now A.Duda made a publicity stunt by sending a presitential jet to pick up beloved national ski jumping team from Norway on a request of Adam Malysz.

Can you magine a better presidential campaing?

News / Presidential elections 2020 - your opinions about campaign, candidates [2222]

There are calls for postponing the presidential elections because of bull...I mean coronavirus.

The current situation benefits A. Duda and PiS so I doubt they wil agree to do so. And they are not legally obliged to do so. And since a political internet troll called Donald Tusk has asked the government to do so the chances are slim.

The beneficients of postponed elections would be hysterical opposition but also Konfederacja who would get sufficient funds for running much bigger presidential campaign.

What was the average age of a judge? 36 or something?

Haha, Regional, and especially District Courts lower the average age of judge in Poland. In High court the average age of a judge is: 55yo with 20% of them being 65+

The general rule is: the higher the worse.

District Courts: relatively normal (why? because: less power and lower income)

Regional Courts: mixed

High Court: predominantly commie (and post-commie from negative selection) parasites. "Special caste" ;-)

@dolphiandomine, I don't write about Scotland b'cause I don't know much about your country. Why do you insist on writing about Polish politics when you're clearly clueless?

KaczyƄski has always strongly believed PiS has to control the judiciary

If we had a normal judiciary system before and then it was attacked by PiS I would be the first to protest and defend those judges.

Unfortunately, what we've got is a corrupted system infested by "judges" who were a crucial part of a communist system. Regular Poles are not going to die for them. No one is even going to protest on the streets to support them.

But what exactly has KK done to challenge Duda's wife?

"Duda's wife" was always a subject that the opposition wanted to use for political reasons, like during "black protests" against a new abotion law in Poland. They are frustrated that she remains silent on hot button political topics and can't be used as a tool to hit her husband and PiS in general.
