Life / How are electric cars doing in Poland? [413]
We have established that in the next 10 to 20 years electric cars will replace gasoline engine cars.
Now it's just a beginning and Poland should be jumping in.
Three key factors give Tesla a edge for the competition. (1) "Million Mile" Battery.
I am looking forward to Tesla's "Battery Day" on Sept. 22.
At that event, analysts are expecting Tesla to announce some breakthrough technology, including a new battery with the ability to last as long as 1 million miles.
(2) Autopilot, 'Almost Self Driving'......... Tesla is at the leading position there.
(3) Production and demand trajectory in China for Tesla remains robust and stronger than expected for its third quarter with clear momentum heading into years end.
Poland should open the doors for a huge Tesla plant to be built there.

WoW those are great picture!
Did you take them ?
The higher altitude trails on the Tatra's may be a bit much for an old guy like me however.
You said that the main interest of a bear is food and not humans.
A bears main instinct is their sense of smell as they are basically blind but can smell food many kilometers away.
Keeping it separate from you when you sleep in a bears backyard is only common sense.
To be young again.............

Same here in the U.S. but at least here we are allowed to pack some heat with us for self defense.
In Alaska you would be a self sacrifice in the back country without a gun.
You have to have some common sense and not store your food in your tent rather hoist your back pack up on a rope twenty feet into a tree a safe distance from your camp site.
I have already picked out a trail in Poland that I want to hike.

My thoughts exactly as Costa Rica has open arms for tourism right now to hike and explore their National Forests and jungles.
Poland will have to be put off until a later date when Europe opens back up.

I started this thread to learn about rural Poland so it is understandable how my statements may seem ridiculous to a Brit as yourself, Pam, who has visited Poland.
Your effort to shame me because I want to learn about rural Poland certainly shows your inferiority complex towards Americans that want to learn as much as they can about their family ancestry in Poland.
Do you have any family ancestry in Poland ?
How creative of you in your efforts to belittle me as never did I mention 'hikers', I was referring to the small farms and village people.
And YES, here in America the people who live away from the cities and in rural areas are much more humble down to earth people in general.

And it only took two years for Tesla to take over the top spot.
The Model S, Model X and since 2019 the Model 3 have taken the all electric brand to new heights, selling over 100,000 cars in Europe, with the Model 3 as the best selling EV in the continent, ahead of the much cheaper Renault Zoe and Nissan Leaf.
Never panic.
Tesla today is worth between $ 45 to $ 50 Billion and Musk is still at the helm.

Even as condescending and snotty as the females are on this forum, except for Atch, I sit back and wonder what is really going on in your lives that make you so bitter.
Obviously you all have been hurt by someone in your lives very badly and still have open wounds.
My simplistic view of the people that live in the country is only stupid to you.
I have travelled many places and have always found that country folks are way less hardened then the city folks.
They are not as worldly as city folk.
That's why when I come to Poland I want to get off the beaten path and meet people that are down to earth and count their blessings.
And if you see that as stupid then shame on you.

Poland could clean up their air quality without having a nuclear reactor located on Poland's soil.
A win win for both countries.

Coke is a whole different ball game (animal) then marijuana, it kills.
Cocaine is a drug (not like alcohol or weed) that never gets you there and you always need more.

Remember when the polls had Crooked Hillary up by 8 points on election day and how all the Liberal news medias were saying that she had it in the bag ????
Remember when jon posted that Crooked Hillary was the projected winner in all of his hopes and dreams to destroy America.
I tell you cms, I live here and like Joker am listening to the people and what I have heard I can't see how Biden/Pelosi have a chance to even have the vote being close.
That is because they know there is a Civil War on the horizon and that the cities will be the last place you will want to be when they start burning.
Most of the summer homes up here in Northern Michigan are being stocked to the brim with supplies so when they have to bug out of Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, Toledo and the likes they will have a safe place to run to.
(Many will find their cupboards bare.) :-/
I am the only one here old enough to remember Nikita Khrushchev predicting the adoption of communism and the gradual creation of a "socialist state" in the U.S. by him on September 29, 1959.

I'm telling you dolno, America is in pis poor shape right now despite what the inflated stock market is saying.
Paid for property will be worth a whole lot more then a handful of worthless stock certificates or a bank savings account loaded with depreciating cash.

Kodak was at $2.20 a share on 27/7/20 and went up to $33.20 a share in two days.
Blame it on a Trump windfall.

Today AAPL closed at $455 per share, up $30 a share this week.
So my 200 shares did me well again.
I even impress myself sometimes.
