Just read about the public vote (didn't watch it).....full 12 points from Germany....and also from Britain!

....Israel received 12 points from audiences in Azerbaijan, France, Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden, Portugal, Britain, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Australia and rest-of-world votes. Additionally, Israel received 10 points from audiences in Ireland, Cyprus, Finland, San Marino, Norway and Czech Republic....

So, the public in most of Europe is clearly pro-Israel....contrary to what some govs say and some fanatics wish.....and I take back what I said yesterday and declare the contrary, heh:)

PS: I also read some commentator that most are secretly quite glad about the second place, otherwise the next Eurovision would had to take place IN Israel next year....a security nightmare....and a political one too....

Yeah....I remember Eurovision also very much differently....not the puke-fest it has become...

It was best after the "Wende", as the Iron Curtain fell and people from the whole of Europe could take part....that was a total different mood!

The israeli singer was a hostage of Hamas....she was tortured, raped, had to hide between corpses to survive....and these ***** are booing her?

I disagree, Jon....

We have meanwhile alot of experiences with immigration and integration of different cultures (or their lack of).

Ethnical ghettoes are a fact in every big city (voluntarily that is)....people fall back especially hard onto their heritage in a foreign environment...becoming even hardcore nationalist far way from their nation, where they didn't care at all.

Most people do just NOT change their heritage like a pass! Even home-conflicts with other ethnics are alive and well in a for both foreign environment. To believe otherwise is the big multikulti illusion....

The big red mark IMHO is the number! To have only a few ethnic minorities is the best for all....once above a certain percentage this minority would want (and need) less and less to integrate, rather changing their environment to fit them "better"....and thats just bad for all!

This is what happened, according to "Spiegel": On Monday morning, at 5:45 a.m., two Afghans were apprehended by the Federal Police in Guben (Brandenburg) "in the immediate vicinity of the railway bridge" that leads over the Neisse River into Poland, according to the report - without valid papers. Shortly afterward, they said they wanted to apply for asylum in Germany. However, according to Dobrindt's new policy, they shouldn't have been allowed to enter the country in the first place!

But an official directive from the Federal Police Headquarters states, according to the report: Even in so-called pushbacks - i.e., cases just across the border - asylum seekers may be sent directly back to a safe third country. In this case: Poland.

I don't think it will hurt much.

....well....after german experiences with quotas in the recent years, no...it doesn't work out that way!

Not that there aren't enough tough women in power with more balls than many men, but all of them made it to the top without needing any quota.

Most of the political quota women were (nearly) total failures. Yes, maybe not better as unskilled, weak men...but surely not advertising quotas at all!

You can also call it jealousy, I guess!

Do we really blame a people for having many smarties?

In some cultures education and academical success just matter more than in others....also centuries of tradition in some trades plays a big part.

Thats one of the problem with leftist "quotas", people getting important jobs just because of their skin colour or if they have the tits, not the brain!

In the East the Left was also "wehrhaft" for 40 years....and calling that "democratic"....there are reasons why the East is so blue!

Maybe the West should let the AfD just do what she wants, at least there where she wins, we are a federation after all....it might even end as Jon said:
