You are the one that gaslighted with the word "only", not I.

Nope, this is what you wrote:

I said that Trump gave Poland the latest technology in equipment and training that no other country was offered.

"No other country" = only Poland.

What we have here is a failure to communicate.

Yes, a failure on your part to not communicate bullsh1t :)

too gullible to keep up with the big boys sarcasm.

Ah, so it's again "lies=sarcasm" according to johnny_reb lol 🙄

Poland B, some people say, was the part of Poland that was under Russian control. Coincidence?

I don't think that's a coincidence... Fortunately in my city Trzaskowski won :)

that gives you no right to take it out on me.

I'm not taking it out on you - Ptak continues to needlessly drag this out and I'm just responding to his unnecessary bullsh1t.

Actually I am not lying and have shown you and everyone here in previous posts that you were wrong about that.

You haven't shown us anything. You haven't provided any proof for your claims that the US is sharing any military equipment or technology only with Poland.

Why do you always single me out and ride my ass days on end when jon

I don't single you out. When you were suspended/gone I had my clashes with jon357 and the most notorious liar on this forum - Novichok.

In fact it was that fecund grave field of tortured souls and filthpig greed warszawa.

So how old were you when you moved to Australia?

Ha, ha - PiS mob is wearing "Konstytucja" t-shirts all of a sudden.

PiS is the epitome of hypocrisy. 🤮

Paulina, what Johnny said, no other country could provide, which makes all the difference, and that is the essence of Johnny's post.

It is really funny that you're literally lying about what johnny_reb wrote even though his posts are here in this thread for everyone to see. Do you think people are blind or what? lol What is wrong with you? Are all MAGA people pathological liars? o_O

If, if, if is just a denial of reality, and if won't change it,

No, it's not any "denial of reality". PiS president would veto such a bill and Trzaskowski wouldn't.

Paulina, darling, Opinions are like a-holes; there are millions of them. Why are you so sure that the one you're providing is the right one?

Which opinion of mine are you talking about?

You are so desirable when pugnacious

Does your wife agree? 🤨

@Ironside, I usually "argue" if I have evidence to prove my point or there's no evidence coming from my opponent's side. So it's not just about my "opinions".

@johnny reb, I "argue" until you (or anyone else) stop writing stuff that aren't true. It's usually that simple.

It heads into the firepit straight to hell, and they want to send Poland first to see if it has good air conditioning.

And what kind of nonsense is this? lol

Don't they have the majority in the parliament what they are waiting for? lol!

I see I have to feel embarrassed by your ignorance again o_O They're in a coalition with more conservative parties:

wiadomosci.onet.pl/kraj/psl-torpeduje-ustawe-o-dekryminalizacji-aborcji-ogromne-poklady-zlosci/4mcr315

lol! you had a dream, don't be delusional.

I am not delusional and you're being ignorant again:

wiadomosci.onet.pl/kraj/polacy-dostali-pytanie-o-liberalizacje-prawa-aborcyjnego-zaskakujace-wyniki-sondazu/41nry1n

You are chirping about abortion all the time when talking politics.

Not true at all.

feel embarrassed by your ignorance?

No, but I feel embarrassed by your ignorance :)

So Bobko is right.

No, he isn't. In the right circumstances - if Trzaskowski won and the more conservative parties in the coalition didn't oppose it - they would pass the bill. There would be no reason for them to not do so, because majority of Poles support a more liberal abortion laws.

you belong to that fringe minority of stupid people for whom the so-called right to kill their child is a must.

Do I though? What do you know about my personal views on this matter exactly? And what do you mean by "fringe minority" if majority of Poles support a more liberal abortion laws?

That's not what I said though, is it. I referenced their position on NATO.

Yes, but your attitude reminds me a lot of that sentiment/mentality. Those pro-Putin RuSSians were saying the same thing about Poland - all parties in Poland were "the same", according to them, because none was pro-RuSSian ;D Very RuSSian-centric.

no way PiS can be in any way anti-EU

Well, they are - they are against the way EU is now and where it's supposedly heading - getting more integrated. That's not the case with Tusk's party - they're pro-EU with no such reservations as far as I know.

Why is Tusk falling over himself to tout Poland as the country that did the most to fulfill Trump's demand on defense spending?

He's not "falling over himself" - Tusk simply stated facts.

My point was that the difference was nearly always in tone and posture, and not the actual substance.

You're wrong though.

From the point of view of a person that has lived in Russia

Yes, your view is strikingly similar to that of RuSSians (that I've discussed with) talking about the US politics who were claiming that Democrats and Republicans are like Coca Cola and Pepsi just because neither of them was pro-RuSSian (at least at that time when I discussed with those RuSSians) lol

1) Both PiS and PO are resolutely pro-EU.

Not PiS.

but instead everyone competes with the other based on how good their relations are with Donald Trump.

Not really.

Yes, PiS has taken a harder line on abortion, judicial reforms, media policy, and LGBT stuff.

And... that's "no biggie" according to you? lol 🤦

At the same time - neither party proposes legal abortion on demand like in Western Europe.

Tusk's party is in favour of legal abortion up to 12 weeks.

You're not so well informed on Polish politics, it seems o_O

I wondered if by "Bramy" he meant a a particular housing estate wit

He probably copied some random stuff that came up in his Google search (like "zwiedzamy wałbrzyskie") lol

Maybe zwiedzamy his town and have a look.

Haha ;D

You don't live here so you wouldn't know how it works here.

Well, I know that American military personnel don't share classified information even with their spouses (or at least they shouldn't), so how would you have access to such info?

Space X launched a Titan rocket with an undisclosed military payload last night."

The fact that there are things that American military uses that are secret doesn't automatically mean that they share it only with Poland ;D🤦

Oh jon, go look at the Polish ghetto's of Lodz, Krakow, Bialystok, Kielce, Zwiedzamy, Walbrzyske, Bramy and many others in Poland.

:D

I didn't realise we have "ghettos" in Kielce ;D Do tell where they're located! :)))

Say you've never been to Poland without saying you've never been to Poland.

Yup.

A pretty weird list too. Do you know why?

Is it because there are no such places in Poland like "Zwiedzamy" and "Bramy" and "wałbrzyskie" is a whole region and not a town or a city? ;)

Forget it Ptak, she just likes to argue like always

I'm not arguing, I'm just correcting your non-factual information :)

Yes P, for free U.S. defense protection

If you're talking about boots on the ground then even that isn't 100% free.

They were still communist back in 1989 weren't they ?

The democratic transition in Poland started already in 1989 actually.

Yeah but not the secret ones that are of cutting edge that ONLY the U.S. has access to.

If they were so "secret" that there would be no mention of it in the media whatsoever then you wouldn't be privy to such classified information, so cut the bullsh1t :)

News / Karol Nawrocki - the New President of Poland [495]

So dear Paulina, what is your point?

My point is that what johnny_reb keeps claiming about only Poland getting this or that isn't true. He wrote that "Trump gave Poland the latest technology in equipment and training that no other country was offered." That's simply not the case. I don't know what is the point of him making such claims.
Also, Poland has been buying American military equipment not only under Trump, but also under Biden and other American presidents. So Trump just continues what other American administrations were doing - allowing an ally buy their military stuff. As I wrote - I'm just setting the record straight.

Again, the word ONLY is irrelevant.

No, it isn't "irrelevant", because it isn't true. If the truth isn't relevant for you then that's a problem.

Poland and other deserving countries, that's the crux of the matter

Then why won't he just write that instead of lying about it?

I never used the word free and never implied free

But you did - here:

No, they are classified as NUNYA so don't ask again

Ah, so you're talking out of your ass :D

35 years ago before computerized weapons or military satellites even existed.

When Poland wasn't even in NATO yet - American elite special forces were training and sharing their tactics and equipment with Poles :)

Let me ask you this my friend, "How many countries in the world have access to the United States military satellites ?"

Poland, Japan, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and the Czech Republic, "as well as other NATO countries that leverage the WGS system when needed".

News / Karol Nawrocki - the New President of Poland [495]

@johnny reb, again, Poland isn't getting any "cutting edge weapons" from the US "for free", so what are you talking about?

A thank you would be enough.

I will gladly say "Thank you" to any American president who contributes to the security of Poland, including Joe Biden :) who in 2022 announced that the first permanent American garrison would appear in Poland and he kept his word. It's in Poznań and it's called Camp Kościuszko. Poland has been asking for American permanent presence on Polish soil for years. Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defence during the PiS rule, called it "a historical moment" back then.

I said that Trump gave Poland the latest technology in equipment and training that no other country was offered.

I'm really curious then what kind of "latest technology in equipment and training" Trump gave Poland that no other country on this planet was offered :) Could you name those things? Because all of what you mentioned earlier (Abram tanks, F-35 fighter jets, Apache and Black Hawk helicopters, HIMAR rocket launchers and Patriot missile systems) are in possession of quite a few other countries, not only Poland.

the United States protects and keeps for itself unless you know something I don't.

You must know something that I don't then, because I am not aware of any "advanced cutting edge weaponry the United States protects and keeps for itself" which the US would share only with Poland.

Israel is the exception and you can thank your lucky stars for that.
And you used that word "probably" very loosely.

Don't get me wrong, I am (and probably majority of Poles) very thankful for what the US did for Poland for years* (and not just one president). I'm just setting the record straight - there's a number of countries that have the same American military equipment that Poland got and it isn't thanks to just one American president.

*For example, I don't know if you're aware, but Polish GROM special forces unit was basically built from scratch with the help/training provided by the British and American special forces. And that happened already in the 1990's. There's even an alley at the GROM base in Warsaw named after one of the Delta instructors who trained the very first GROM snipers :)

I didn't follow that thread and didn't see your comments.
How is my question "dumb" though? You live in Australia, don't you? And judging by your poor level of Polish I assumed that you were born in Australia. Weren't you? 🤨

It was PO that started the whole undemocratic and unlawful shenanigans by unconstitutionally trying to stack the constitutional tribunal just before they left office.

Ah, so PiS decided to make it even worse and create unprecedented problem of "legal dualism" in Poland? That was supposed to be that "good change"? lol Completely taking TVP over and changing it into something on the level of RuSSian state TV - that was OK, according to you? Taking over and trying to shut down independent media? That was supposed to be that "good change"? PiS has authoritarian tendencies and that's been hurting the state of democracy in Poland on a scale that I haven't seen since the fall of communism.

Anyway let's see who turns out to be right I think tusk if he remains in power will ignore presidential vetoes.

I really doubt it - there's no legal reason for that - Nawrocki wasn't somehow nominated by PiS as the president against the law - he was elected by the people. So his vetoes will be legal. End of story.

No wonder Bobko and Kania hate him so much!

I don't know about that - Bobko was defending his hooligan past, so I'm guessing he prefers Nawrocki over Trzaskowski. 🤔

Can you fire the national prosecutor and hire a new one without the consent of the president?

If you're talking about Dariusz Barski then according to the Ministry of Justice he was appointed by his buddy Ziobro illegally, so... I guess you could say he wasn't the national prosecutor in the first place.

The POrks have broken the law numerous times. TVP etc

What "numerous times"?
As for TVP - I was against that and I wrote about it on the forum. I'm afraid that's the new "quality" that PiS has introduced into Polish politics - they started breaking the law and Constitution from the very beginning of their rule in 2015, even passing bills under the cover of the night - hoping that noone will notice or care. You didn't complain back then, did you? Now, I'm afraid, we're all reaping what was sown by PiS back then.

@amiga500, you are talking complete bollocks lol

They will say something like European union has demanded rule of law changes and European law supersedes the the constitution.

They will say no such thing lol :))) You seem to be really detached from Polish reality over there in Australia or you're projecting your PiS mentality on others.

Or just quietly ignore the president as they know the media will only cover it for a short amount of time

What are you even talking about? lol You can't "quietly" pass bills if the president vetos them - they simply don't become the law. That's it. End of story. 🤨

Besides they need to do something as they are headed towards electoral oblivion in two years.

Nah, you don't know that. Nobody knows what will happen in two years time.

It means that they will continue working as they did under Duda - that's all. Did they ignore any presidential vetos during Duda's rule? No. So get a grip lol

Fort Trump comes to mind with over 10,000 U.S. troops rotating in and out of Poland to beef up Poland's defense.

That Fort Trump doesn't exist though:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Trump

Trump has given Poland Abram tanks, F-35 fighter jets, Apache and Black Hawk helicopters, HIMAR rocket launchers and Patriot missile systems up the yang yang.

I am not aware of Trump "giving" anything to Poland (for free). As I wrote Poland has been buying American military equipment for years (including under Biden). So what changed exactly?

He has send people to train Polish soldiers the same way American soldiers are trained.

This has been happening for years.

There is not another country in the world that gets this kind of pampering from the U.S.A. thanks to Teflon Trump.

Besides Israel? lol (and probably some others)

@johnny reb, how did Trump help? What did he do any differently in terms of helping the Polish military than all the previous American presidents did? Poland has had good relations with the US since the fall of communism and we've been buying American military equipment for years. So what has changed under Trump, according to you? (It's a genuine question, because maybe there's something I don't know about.)

@johnny reb, it wasn't Trump who helped "Poland become the most powerful military in Europe". It was Polish governments' decisions and Polish society's support for those decisions. And those were mainly a result of RuSSia's invasion of Ukraine.

I personally am damn proud of how far Poland has come so quickly and stand their ground.

Me too, but Trump didn't have anything to do with Poland's success as a country o_O

@johnny reb, the Conservatives are not in control in Poland. The Polish government is a coalition of liberal, centrist and left-wing parties. The government rules in Poland. The Polish president can pretty much only block bills. So it's a "stalemate".

Maybe the Wokies will now see that they are a minority and wake up to common sense.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Wokies". Anty-PiS people are definitely not a minority in Poland. Nawrocki won by a very small margin - those are the official Polish presidential election results:

Nawrocki: 50.89%
Trzaskowski: 49.11%
