If you only have say 5 or 10 thousand to invest, you are right.
If you are asking me what I would do if I were you in this recession with sky rocketing inflation and interest rates.....
I would buy a rental unit and rent it even if the rent money only covered the interest rates and taxes on it.
Put your overtime money on the principal amount.
At my age I don't have the time to wait for such a property to double in price someday like you do.
The stock market is not for everyone as it takes money to make money in it.

Well, most of them that is as some of them are silver spooned with chauffer's that take them to school in a private limo.

Everything from electricity to food expenses will be going up do to world wide inflation partly caused buy the Covid shutdown hoax for two years that has helped put us in this Recession.

So the Polish government is having second thoughts now for closing their coal mines down in the name of clean energy ?
