My grandparents both immigrated from Ireland and Poland (both were polish) but unfortunately I've never met anyone on that side of the family. I have light brown hair and hazel eyes. I also have very almond shaped eyes and high cheekbones, so many times people ask me if I am Eurasian , are almond shaped eyes also common? Also I am very tall over 6 feet are there a lot of tall women in Poland?

Are all blacks tall and muscular?

Are all Jews and Asians super brainiacs?

Are all Frenchmen pansies?

^^ Here's some more ridiculous questions for you.

So it would appear that not all Poles are blond and blue eyed then.....a very small minority it would seem are maybe red headed ?

except for all the polish ladies (esp older ones) colouring their hair the most disgusting shades of red that i could have ever imagined - anything from carrot to some mixture of purple and ruby red - ouch!!

There is a saying in Polish:

Rudy to falszywy or Rude to falszywe (the second one has an added hint of malice on the part of the speaker). It means "the red haired ones are dishonest".

I think most Polish and eastern europeans (or slavs) have dark hair, just alot of people will know one Polak or slav that has blonde hair and blue eyes and think that they all do. Typical American.

I've been told by several people that I look more Italian than Polish lol.
And Spanish women seem to really love me whereas Polish women don't seem that interested. Oh well, it's their loss. haha :)

I'm a brunette with brown eyes. My sister is strawberry blonde (orange lol) with blue eyes and my brother is a blonde, most of my cousins are blonde. My grandmother has black hair with blue eyes. We have a lot of range in my family, but people usually guess that we're Polish.

'How many Polish people are ginger?'

My sister. Also, my paternal grandfather (although he is no longer alive). My dad's facial hair grows in orange/ginger. :)

Most Polish men have no hair.

I thought the band who made that "Barbie Girl" song was from Danmark or somewhere around there.

I was also surprised to see a few red-headed Poles

It's (it was ?) a Danish-Norwegian band.

Most Polish men have no hair

Funny but you're generalizing ;)
