Hi
just wondering if anyone can tell me about the Kaczorowski name?
My grandfather came to Australia in the 1940's but all documentation was destroyed and he has since passed away. I dont know if he had any brothers or sisters in australia or poland. All I know is that Kaczorowski means duck!

Any help at all would be appreciated!
Thanks
Kellie

Kaczorowski probably arose as a toponymic nickname for an inhabitant of Kaczorów or Kaczorowo (Drakeville).
A kaczor is a drake (male duck).

A kaczor is a drake (male duck).

So, Kaczorowski would be Drakevsky.
