Boguszow-Gorce Poland

For a start: your grandfather was born in the German Empire. In Gottesberg-Rothenbach, to be exact. Google where the catholic church books are located today. You might also be successful searching the available online databases of the civil registration records.

From another:

[Moved from]: Im going to Biecz Poland, where my grandfather Andrew Ignacy Guzik was born

please email me if you know of any Guzik living in this area of Poland

Hello - I am also a Guzik and my family came from Poland to settle in Camden, New Jersey so I am wondering if there could be a connection. The region that my ancestor John Guzik lived in is in Podlaskie - Jaczniki and was part of Russian Poland but I am not sure if that is where his family was from, or just his last residence before immigration. I do not have much information on his parents besides him listing them as John Guzik and Michelina Koclowska or Kozlowska on his marriage cert. in Camden at St. Joe's Polish Roman Catholic Church in 1908. Are you on any family tree or DNA websites where we could link up? - Michelle

I have a friend called Guzik. He received his name from pressing the button too many times at the auction. He was accidentally leaning on it and bidding up the offers.Haha
