I am from Edmonton Alberta Canada, I am trying to find out if the surname [TRUDZIK] is a true polish last name? I am also trying to find out what Jan/ John Trudzik's wife Telka surname was I believe it started with a K. I know my side of of the Trudzik's came to Canada in 1929. Just trying to get more genealogy for great grand parents. And who my grandmother Telka who she really was and where she was from. ANY POTENTIAL INFORMATION WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!
Trudzik exists as a Polish surname. Pretty rare.
Jan is a Polish name. A very common one.
Telka might be a short version of another name or a misspelling of Tekla (I know Telka exists as a surname, too ). But it's impossible to help you with so little information.
Look for their immigration and death records. They may show their place of birth and their parents ' names. You may even find Telka's maiden name.
