Polonius3 993 | 12,357 18 Aug 2012 #61This weekend the town of Jasło is hosting an International Wine Festival. The area is trying to revive local wine-making traditions that died out centuries ago because they coiuldn't meet the competition posed by Hungarian Tokay.
delphiandomine 88 | 18,131 18 Aug 2012 #62I think there already is some degree of wine making there - the climate is certainly suitable! No reason why Poland can't at least produce something similar to Bulgarian wine.
Casimirez 5 May 2017 #63Just read an article in the March 2017 Wine Spectator article on Austrailian wines hat Polish settlers brought and planted Riesling to the Clare Valley (near Polish Hill River) in the mid 1800's. Clearly they have know a thing or two about winemaking for at least 200 years
