Why do you consider my post to be odd?

Well, I think that expecting the Fox to leave her boyfriend because some Poles living in the UK don't like the country is not normal, don't you think ?

It's not about sticking up for people ajgraham. I think it's one thing to have a healthy debate and something else to get so angry on a forum. Surely, it's better to discuss, read others points of views etc without getting really angry, that's all.

Sounds like you are here to talk, discuss things and the majority of members and posters are great. Seems a shame to get so irate ........

I was actually half way through writing something when by accident I posted it!!.....But I can't remember what it was!....But it only posted part of the sentence I wrote!!....I don't know if that makes sense to you Lady in Red!!......Just ignore it!

I'm in the North West too.......was just messing about when I said 'manchester man'.

Don't worry about about it!...I've got a sense of humour....believe it or not!!

So do you regard yourself as British or Polish?

She said that most Poles do not like Britain or the people Greg!......and she is married to a Pole so she must know!

Hey aj, that's fine. Thanks for letting me know :)

Don't worry about about it!...I've got a sense of humour....believe it or not!!

I know, I could see it and I'm sure all will work out fine on here :)

So do you regard yourself as British or Polish?

Interesting question. I have a UK passport. I have only been to Poland once in my life. I speak immaculate english :) but my first language was Polish, my parents brought me up in a Polish culture in the UK but all my friends were and are mostly British. So, I suppose I have a firm foot in both camps. Kinda nice really, I think :)

Interesting thread....

I occasionally hear the odd whine about 'Polish people taking our jobs blah blah'; I generally perceive it as someone just looking for an excuse for their own failings in the world of work. There seems to be far more contempt for other nations sadly, but Britain is a very bigoted country. There is a noticeable divide, and I think its a generation thing with the younger people more tolerant and accepting of multi-culture and the elder being more prejudiced. There are exceptions to the rule of course. Ive met English idiots, Polish idiots and Irish idiots. I'm sure Ill meet many more over a lifetime.

Although my girlfriend does eat an unhealthy amount of cabbage, but rather her than me !

idiots are found in abundance worldwide... its just they seem to be more prevelent in some countries... must be something to do with genetics...

i actually said 'a lot', not 'most'...its a subtle difference.. and my bf is also one of them at times! (myself being the exception of course) Of course I dont like it, but I love him and all his faults.. and I believe its my role to try to change his opinion of English people. On the other hand, most of the time he hates Polish people in the UK as well.. so he most probably just likes a good moan.

"English people.. who they often consider to be stupid, lazy and lacking in culture. "

I can understand why Poles think this as I live in South East London and this description describes most of the people round here. I imagine its the same in most British urban areas. Poland probably has as many morons as here, however in Poland the morons dont seem to express their level of retardation with such gusto in public.

well I am generalising, but the way they (young men) hang in the streets and parks drinking xtra strong lager, make a prat of themselves in nightclubs and bars by getting wasted, dancing horribly, their dodgy dress sense and non stop use of the C word... sometimes he is embarrassed to be Polish as he doesnt want to be seen as being like that. I have no comment to make, other than that he dresses a whole lot nicer since being with me :)

Let me guess, he changed his Nike baseball cap to a Burberry one, his adidas polo shirt to Nickelson, tracksuit bottom to a white jogging trousers, started to wear fake goldie lookin chains and puting an enormously big earring in his left ear, ey? Ahh the british fashion...:P

LOL. Not exactly.. there are different fashions in the UK you know. I think its more a case of upgrading from Peacocks and Primark to Topman etc..and buying trendier jeans.. he does have an earring in his left ear though.. which he has to take out when he goes to visit Poland as his mom thinks its subversive..

Speaking to someone that works in a supermarket where polish shop.

apparently most of the polish are rude, ignorant, scruffy and make no attempt to interact. I believe these Polish are mostly agriculture workers. I do not believe they take up housing, yet the general local consensus appears to be that the polish are disliked because they take jobs, housing and are rude.

i have always supported any european working in england, why not... but I am beginning to wonder if am in the minority that thinks this?

If you want some advice on a good country, try Germany. The Germans are evidently the most intelligent europeans and Germany is a very sophisticated country. Neither Poles or English are as advanced as Germans, but they could learn alot by living there.

Also we would appreciated if the Poles decide not to keep comming because we need to give a chance to Romanians and Bulgarians, otherwise its not fair

Why have the government put temporary work restrictions on people from Bulgaria and Romania. Its their way of saying too many eastern europeans in England, so now Romania and Bulgaria get the blame, even though the speak good English and are highly educated.

re: Also we would appreciated if the Poles decide not to keep comming

'We' meaning who? What is your nationality, ethnic origin? Bulgarian? Romanian? Who the hell are you to talk like that?

re:

- Yes, why the government restrcted the number of Romanans and Bulgars, and hasn't restrcted the number of Poles? Maybe because the Poles work a tinge better than the others, n spite of the latter' alleged higher English speaking skills and better educaton?

Above all, why some EU countries are closed for some EU nations, and, at the same time, the former take in scores of folks from the Third World?

The EU immigration policy shows that the EU isn't for real. - The big guys in the EU are discriminatory and oppressive towards the so-called Eastern European members.

Africans and Asatics have more respect and acceptance in the EU than Eastern Europeans have.

?? youre a gfool. do you know what kinda bullsjit those people have to go through to get into any EU country - even the new member countries including Poland.

they can't go visit a EU country they need a VISA just to visit as a tourist, let alone be able to work and access things like the medical system.

Its only refugees that got lucky and got let in that you see, you know those people are placed in detention centres and held there until they are accepted, and alot are sent back to there country.

you just show that you're racist, you're an immigrant yourself trying to jump on the money train. and then you complain about the africans and asians.

PS: Poland is not a first world country either, so why bring up this Third world countries sh*t

last in shut the door..........its been going on for decades.Every new wave of immigrants wants to be the last but never are, Frankly I think the average white Brit couldnt care less whether the Poles come here or not, Most welcome them ,some dont, but muppets r muppets..The most vile sort of rascism comes from within so called minorities, Its Asians around here moaning about "east" europeans(when will they look on a map, looks pretty central to me..) who are now coming and taking over their status as sacred cow,not to be picked on and to be given all the help.....perception,not reallity,but.......what is reallity anyway....oh dear no more descartes....
