I think you often see women with older men because men generally age better. In our sexist society, older women lose their physical attractiveness to men much quicker and much more than men. Men get "distinguished" as they age PLUS they have experience and maturity, a win-win. It's a shame because often very pretty women with great personalities get left behind because they've "lost it" physically, even though they still have great personalities. Yet older men can still be considered attractive.

My friend is in love with a guy who is 35 years older than she... And it starts to be more than platonic:/ I'm definitely against it.

I myself wouldn't be able to be with a man who is 5 years older than me... I'm 20 and a 25 year-old guys seem so old... with a "past" - let's call it this way.

I think the age difference gets smaller the older you get. The difference between a 35 year old and a 30 year old is much smaller than the differens between an 18 year old and a 23 year old, and both are 5 years difference, which is really not that big, anyway.

I think you are right, i'm 48 my last girlfriend was 23, slovakian, and I am def not rich good looking, or any of the other things that people think count. But I will say the language barrier and cultural differences were what made us split. even though we remain good friends. the thing is no'one knows who they will fall for and I certainly don't think age makes a difference. everyones different thank God. LOL

Since when are assets such a big issue? If you're having a good time together, age difference shouldn't matter.
